LK BENNETT London

LK BENNETT London

my friend Ania used to work for this brand. and to be honest before that I didnt know the brand at all. too bad as they dont have a shop in switzerland. hopefully soon!! so of course when I was in London during the Fashionweek I had to visit the LK BENNETT shop. I visited the one at ROYAL EXCHANGE and I asked the shopassistant if I could take some photos for my blog of me wearing their shoes. I left her my card and she promised to get back to me as soon as possible. and infact she did and I got permission to shoot in their shop the next day. thanks so much again!

RILEY thats the name of the heel I fell in love with – it comes in 3 colors – rose – silver and black – but of course I am more a fan of the lighter colors and I prefere the rosa or silver as theses shoes are perfect for spring summer!

thank you @felicities for inviting me! xx

what does “HEIDMORK” mean?

“Heiðmörk was proclaimed a municipal conservation area of Reykjavík in 1950. It is located southeast of Elliðavatn, Iceland, and is about 6 miles (9.7 km) from the city of Reykjavík. Its name is derived from its namesake in Norway. The total area of the conservation area is 2,800 acres (11 km2). It is a popular recreational area in Iceland. Heiðmörk is where Reykjavík’s water reservoirs and drinking water wells are located. Rauðhólar are a notable natural formation of Heiðmörk, a cluster of red coloured pseudocraters.” source Wikipedia

UNA VIDA BIEN VIVIDA – a live well lived !
the handout says: “..the collection is inspired by the story of Carmen by Bizet, set in colourful Seville, Spain. It explores the heat and intesitiy between two young lovers. It is a fearless collection that represents the confident and exotic nature of carmen. Garvida takes inspiration from traditional Spanish costumes and patterns and translates it into contemporary cuts with flowing frills; reminiscent of the vibrant traditional scarves and hand printed tiles from the nineteenth century. For this collection designer Jasper Garvida has combined texture and prints, a bold and fresh choice from one who is known for his monochrome palette. The intense red and mediterranean blue colours reflect the inner passion and desire from Bizet’s Carmen and the collection has an understated sexual tone and vulnerable beauty.”

Citizen M Bankside Hotel London

Citizen M Bankside Hotel London
20 Lavington Street, London UK, SE1 0NZ

http://www.citizenm.com/images/inset/inset-LondonBankside-Lobby.jpg

I enjoyed my stay in London at Citizen M Bankside Hotel. My room was in the 4th floor, number 406 with a kingsize bed, a nice little desk and a quiet big bathroom. When I got into my room there was a tablet next to my bed displaying: “Welcome citizen Lea” – so sweet!! this tablet is helpful to navigate air and heating and to explore more about citizen M. there is freewifi and lots of movies to watch for free. too bad I didnt have time to check their medialibrary..

as I was in London for the fashionweek I was very happy to use the computers in the lobby. so for me it was if I was working at home because they had a nice iMac, like mine at home. also printing my tickets to the shows was not a problem. thank you so much again for having me as your guest. I felt very welcome!

the lobby has a bookshop, a bar, lots of places to sit and relax; tables, armchairs and couchs. I really love the interior design. lots of things to see. check the gorgeous lamps and books for instance.

a very lovely space is the inner courtyard with the lamps. my rooms view was directly into the courtyard – gorgeous!

on Valentines day they slipped a little love note under my door, that was just too cute! xx

CITIZEN M a lovely and trendy boutique Hotel with locations in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, London and Glasgow and soon in New York and Paris, too. check citizenm.com for your next trip!

JEAN-PIERRE BRAGANZA

JEAN-PIERRE BRAGANZA
ARTEMISIA AW 2014

his collection is inspired by the early baroque painter Artemisia Gentileschi and has a very dark approach with a lot of black and heavy, stiff materials. what I really liked were the coats jackets and blazers. I was sitting in the second row. which was not a bad place to sit but still I couldnt take perfect photos of the outfits. here are some outfits that I have seen via jetsetfashionmagazine.com and worldsno1model.com and nowfashion.com
