VITRA SUMMER PARTY 2015

as every year it was a blast to be invited by VITRA for the summerparty during ART BASEL. look at the lovely decoration – so nice! there was cool music and lots of nice art and design to see. there are many different buildings inside the VITRA campus, the newest is by SANA. my favorite one is the showroom by HERZOG & DE MEURON but I also like the one by TADAO ANDO. this years entry badge was a piece of fabric that the tied around our wrists. a nice idea but so far the metall bands were my favorite – I still have them and collected the different colors from other friends that were there.

the food was delicious and there was a nice vegetarian alternative. my favorite was the couscous salad – mmmhhhmm, can I please have one more?! and the ice cream was a touch of heaven on earth too bad I did not check by whom the catering was..

I dunno if you can remember but a couple of years ago there was a bug attack during VITRA PARTY and I was telling some friends about that and literally 5 minutes later the first bug was there and he was followed by friends. I jinxed it 🙂 sorry for that but again it was fun to see all the people hide and run from the almost blind flying bugs.. after one hour the bugs were gone, ouff!

thomas visited the exhibition and the lecture of the architect DANIEL LIBESKIND. as he is an architect it was really nice to have his view on that topic. the lecture was called “my visions”. DANIEL LIBESKIND informed about the visions and ideas behind different projects and how he approaches the different fields involved. he also had a rather unconventional start into architecture as he first studied music and therefore has a different access to form and design. thomas really liked the way he talked about his ideas and visions and the fact that he also involved music in the jewish museum, one of DANIEL LIBESKIND most famous project. the exhibition showed nice objects in unconventional and complex ways meaning not always in the classy way: poster and model but were made with attention to detail and work.

a daily moisturizer without SPF for normal to dry skin
it smells very similar to some of the WELEDA products
so nothing fancy – a rather natural fragrance. I liked it but I would not repurchase it at the moment as I really need SPF in my moisturizer for summer.

#LETS SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER 59 CHF
a rosa mosqueta collagen boost facial oil for normal to dry skin
I am a huge fan of facial oils and can directly compare it to the KIEHLS
midnight recovery concentrate which I like better because of the smell.

#HUNGRY EYES 79 CHF
a moringa nutritive eye repair cream for normal to dry skin
it can be used all around the eye area and it feels super soft but still
moisturized. I love it and this is also my favorite product out of the 3.

I m not really sure if this is the best decision that H&M has ever made.. No offense she is a very talented singer but to be honest I dont see her wearing H&M clothes..

I HAD A REALLY LAZY DAY AND IT WAS RAINING CATS AND DOGS. SITTING IN FRONT OF MY COMPUTER AND SURFIN THE INTERWEBS. THEN I WAS ASKED TO GO AND CHECK OUT THE CARHARRT GALLERY IN GERMANY, RLY CLOSE TO THE SWISS BORDER. ONCE I WAS THERE I SAW ALL THE ARTISTS SPRAYING, DRILLING AND PAINTING. ITS A VERY NICE ATMOSPHERE THERE. I MET A COUPLE FROM L.A. AND HAD A NICE CHAT.
SO NOW I M REALLY SURE THAT I WILL ATTEND THE CARHARRT GALLERY EVENT: PUBLIC PROVOCATIONS ON THE 11TH OF JUNE AT 7 PM WITH FREE DRINKS AND MUSIC.
