OUTFITS – ART BASEL 2016 WEEK

this years Art Basel it was raining constantly and it was a real challenge to pick the right clothes for that week. I had plans to wear some really nice summer sandals that I could wear with almost all of my summery dresses. but due to the rain I had to make some drastic changes to my outfit plans. meaning every dress had to find a matching coat, umbrella and shoes that will not be destroyed by the rain.

I was so honored to wear Natascha’s beautiful designer belts: LITTLE FURNITURE ASSEMBLAGE. for three of my outfits I found a matching belt and these are also the looks that I am going to show you in that post.

“have you ever combined a mint green dress with brown? I absolutely love this combo and the colors of the belt work perfectly with the rest of the outfit.”
and now I wanna show you another lovely combination of a bright color with a beige/white houndstooth coat and a very colorful belt by LITTLE FURNITURE ASSEMBLAGE. I was so happy to see that there was exactly the same blue appearing in the belt. together with the pink and red tones this belt is a true statement piece!

last but not least I want to show you different kind of belt. all of the belts are hand made out of leather and are designed to be wrapped either around the waist or hip. next to the belts she also makes very beautiful bangles. you can see me wearing one in the photos below the look. for that very look I chose to wear my new ESPRIT wedges that are now on SALE >>

ART WEEK 2015 – SCHEDULE & OUTFITS

the ART Basel week is over and I had such a good time. once again my dear friends from the netherlands were here and this year Justin showed a german artist
SEBASTIAN WEGGLER at his TEN HAAF PROJECTS gallery space inside VOLTA11.
my schedule was tight especially the first three days were very intense, lots of ART lots of DESIGN and lots of PARTYING.

monday I started with VOLTA11 and ART UNLIMITED and enjoyed myself at the LISTE OPENING PARTY at VOLKSHAUS. tuesday I had breakfast at the Rolls Royce art space inside ELISABETHEN KIRCHE with Isaac Julien and his so very cool video installations from iceland – read more about the project here. and later on I went to see DESIGN MIAMI BASEL and also saw the AUDEMARS PIGUET fireflies installation by ROBIN MEIER – I also blogged about that project – more here. in the evening we had an awesome party on DAS SCHIFF by DESIGN MIAMI BASEL and PERROTIN where we all met TAKESHI MURAKAMI and took funny photos with his staff. wednesday I started my day with DAVIDOFF and went to ART BASEL and SCOPE. later on we had a super nice time at VITRA – we were so lucky that it did not rain that day. thursday I had time to see ART BASEL again but only for a short time as I had to go home and see whether the delivery guy had brought my beautiful dresses by IOANA CIAOLACU for thursday and friday night. thursday night was BASEL NACHT where I was one of the hosts by VOLTA11 and I planned to wear the gorgeous red printed silk dress that had not arrived until fifteen minutes before the start of BASEL NACHT 🙂 but it was absolutely worth to wait for it. friday I had time to see ART BASEL and DESIGN MIAMI again and then spent a wonderful evening at Fondation Beyeler. afterwards we all met at CAMPARI CLUB at KUNSTHALLE.
saturday I had time to see LISTE ART UNLIMITED, DESIGN MIAMI and THE SOLO PROJECT and then went back to VOLTA. sunday I went to SCOPE where I have found something really nice. anyway, I will soon upload all the photos I took during the week and I will also tell you about the guy with the spices at Fondation Beyeler park. stay tuned for more and now I wanna show you some of my outfits during ART BASEL.

MY NEW SHOES

thank you NAVYBOOT for spoiling me with those literally LOVELY shoes and I was already wearing them the whole weekend – I mean are there any better Valentines shoes out there? as I already wrote on FB and you probaly realized that I didnt have any special Valentines Day thing on my blog is due to the fact that I dont believe in such thing – every day should be a Valentines Day <3

so back to the <3 heart sneakers <3 – I have a humming melody of the cheesy song  “I put on my shoes and I am ready for the weekend” in my head and thats how I feel with these. they look fancy and special and the best thing is that they are extremly comfortable. let me tell you that I actually wanted to first wear them with jeans but this morning I was not in a jeans mood and therefore the shoes had to fit my black and white skirt outfit – and I think they did very well.

new COAT and SHOES

finally the weather was good enough to wear my new shoes – by good enough I mean it didnt rain. at least thats what I thought when I was putting on my outfit that very morning. the shoes I have found on SALE inside Manor – they are by COSMOPARIS and here you can read my first blogpost about these gorgeous shoes >>

anyway in the end it DID rain and I was running for shelter like a maniac in these leather sole shoes – nice enough that LES TROIS ROIS was just around the corner.

another new item of my wardrobe is this amazingly light and comfy coat by H&M aswell as the shoes I have found it on SALE in Germany for 10 € – what a BARGAIN!!

my new babies

Do you know COSMOPARIS? if not take a moment and stroll thru their onlineshop – I am telling you it is really worth it and I promise that you will find something nice even if you dont need anything at all 🙂

I will wear them with my new WEILL coat where I am still looking for a photo.. It is a beige white coat with a lovely pattern. stay tuned I will show it to you soon! I found it at the boutique BAUM in Basel and it was on SALE 189 CHF instead of 789 CHF – thanks mom for buying it for me!

the shoes go perfectly with a pencilskirt, skinny jeans, jumpsuit, a black dress – basically with everything! they are quiet high but because of their block heels the shoes are very comfy to walk in. I will sure bring these babies and take them for a walk at the fashionweek, either in London or Paris, we will see! stay tuned for my first outfits wearing these gorgeous shoes!
