I got a fancy up-do!

thank you Stefanie Winter for making this fancy up-do – I felt like a princess – the whole day! I tried to shoot a step by step guide but I didnt end up with a smooth series of steps so I decided not to post them. BUT Stefanie also took some photos and I will see if I can use hers to make something nice, we will see.

so let me ramble a bit about hair. do you wear your hair up or down, a pony tail or a bun? there are so many different ways to wear your hair up and I am often very inspired by watching youtube tutorials. I was more than happy to have such a PRO at work because working on the back of ones head is not easy to manage especially when it shouldnt look like a messy bun. 🙂 I usually wear my hair down and if not I have an either sleek or messy bun. so this was a firsty for me. although I used to wear my hair clipped up in the 90s but in a very very different way and I would not feel comfortable to wear this look ever again.. I dunno if my old friend Julie is reading my blog – she would know exactly what I am talking about 🙂 wearing my hair up in such a professional way was a really nice experience and it totally made me wear my favorite dress – too bad it was minus temperatures that very day so I couldnt show you my full outfit – all you can see is my gorgeous hair and my lovely super old ZARA coat.

what do you need?

loads of bobby pins
hair spray
a comb
a brush
a flat iron

straighten your hair with the flat iron
use the flat iron to make curls (tutorial here «)
section your hair in two parts – front and back
split the back part in two even sections
clip one part to the opposite side and secure with bobby pins
use the other part and roll it in to cover the other side secure with bobby pins from top and bottom and try to have a nice smooth surface. use hairspray!
take the front part and separate the bangs
split the front part into smaller sections and roll them back, secure with bobby pins and use hairspray to cover any flying hairs. thats it!

I am again sorry that I can not show you a step by step tutorial but I am already working on my next hair tutorial and there I will really have a step by step guide. stay tuned. xx
