whilst being sick in bed I was watching lots of YouTube videos about how to declutter and how to put together the perfect wardrobe. all these videos inspired me to give you my take on it. so lets start by defining basic pieces and staple pieces.

basics = key pieces that can be worn in many ways.
staple pieces = special details that can be perfectly worn with basics/keypieces

so in my opinion every woman should have this in her wardrobe as her basics. of course the colors and materials can be very different from the ones I am showing above.

√ HEELS
√ SWEATERS turtle neck and V neck
√ BLOUSES white and denim
√ EARRINGS golden creols and pearl studs
√ WATCH classic and chic for day and night
√ BAGS day and night / clutch and backpack

and now you can start playing around with your basics and combine them with your staple pieces. my personal staple pieces have lots of details, be it either the color, the embelishment or the material. I love diverse pieces and once you found a staple piece it can turn around your wardrobe completely. 

try to find certain staple pieces for your wardrobe. brockis and flea markets are perfect to find exactly such treasures. at least half of my staple pieces are either hand-me-downs or from the fleamarket.

I try to have a solid wardrobe out of key pieces that can be worn together and a smaller amount of staple pieces to combine. as you already know mix and match is one of my favorite things to do and nothing gets easier when you already have an organized basics/staple pieces wardrobe!
