PCC what is that

Protection Cheveux Complexe, PCC what is that?

Thank you very much to Coiffure Winter for pampering me and making my hair look nice again.
I went to her salon in order to trim my hair and color it back to my natural hair color: dark brown. Since I had several drastic color changes in the last two years, my hair ends are really dry. In order to make my hair look healthy again I wanted to try the new PCC treatment by La Biosthetique. Here is what I found out about it.
PCC what is that
PCC what is that?
Protection Cheveux Complexe is a new dimension in hair cosmetics. A real milestone in research and development from La Biosthétique. The revolutionary active ingredient complex protects, restructures and conditions the hair both inside and outside during and after chemical treatments. The hair structure is lastingly renewed, the hair is conditioned and sealed and regains its natural beauty.
PCC claims to be the new formulation to combat hair breakage. Bleaches, colour and perms all have one thing in common; to achieve lasting results, certain structures in the hair have to be broken. Bleach decomposes the natural hair colour, whilst colour deposits new pigment and Perms change the structure and shape of the hair. The network in which keratin, the hair’s most important building block, is embedded, has often breaks in some parts which make the hair more sensitive and weaker in certain areas.

PCC what is that

PCC’s innovative formulations were created to avoid precisely this side effect. They now make the impossible possible. A concentrated molecular protection complex fills gaps inside the hair’s network, known as sulphur bonds, during the processing time of bleach, colour and perms, and deposits new keratin into these gaps or breaks in the structure.
  • WITHOUT PCC (see photo, hair top)
There can be broken open sulphur bonds (oxidation damage)
Gaps in the hair structure due to reduction of the amount of keratin in the hair
    Rough and damaged hair surface
  • WITH PCC (see photo, hair bottom)
Protection and formation of the sulphur bonds
Keratin in the hair is maintained
The surface of the hair is regenerated and protected
I tried the PCC treatment at Coiffure winter and you can see the ampule in the photo below. I love the way it looks. So precious and delicate. Depending on your hair length and dammage they can use more than one. My hair was so dry, and I really want to emphasize WAS. 🙂

Benjamin Bohm, Hair Care & Color Technician at La Biosthétique says

“La Biosthétique supports the hair’s beauty. That’s why it made total sense for us to develop a system that keeps its promises and has proven results! Just a few steps to healthier hair! Protection Cheveux Complexe is a revolution in hair care. By using highly effective ingredients it is proven to protect the hair from the consequences of chemical treatments.”
The results are proven to significantly reduce hair breakage, much stabler, more resistant hair.
Protection and renewal of the molecular hair structure from within, 20 % more softness and
healthy and naturally beautiful hair.

HOW TO USE PCC?
Protection Cheveux Complexe, PCC,  is performed in three steps.
Complexe 1: Concentrate is added during the chemical treatment to restructure and protect the hair.
Complexe 2: After the chemical treatment there is a restructuring and protective conditioning application with Complexe 2 Spray + Mask Intense.
Complexe 3: Continue the protection and care at home. Regular home application of Spray and Mask Vital/ Volume after the salon treatment ensures the results of Protection Cheveux Complexe last a long time. It guarantees exquisite shine, strong elasticity and sleek body.

PCC what is that

I can assure you, this thing really works. Oh wow, the results after one treatment are very visible and made a huge change to my very dry hair before. I will def go back and get another PCC done. For the people in  Basel get in touch with Coiffure Winter. www.coiffure-winter.ch

BEAUTIFYING OILS

beautifying oils

ooh wow – thats exactly what my hair needs at the moment. I need some deep moisturizing hair treatments for my rather damaged dyed hair. there are three new oils and each of them has a very specific purpose. KÉRASTASE PARIS ELIXIR ULTIME

so now I have shared all the information that I found and I have to say that I really like the one for color treated hair. it nourishes my dry ends and makes my hair look healthy and shiny. so this one I can def recommend. lets see what I think about the other oils, I might ask a friend to test one of them as I still have the REDKEN hair diamond oil and the perfumed oil by Kérastase from the chronologiste collection.

I AM PROFESSIONAL

last week I was in Zuerich for the MIGROS I am PROFESSIONAL blogger event and I had a great time. Now I can show you some *photos of the event and wanna share some thoughts about the I am PROFESSIONAL blogger event and my favorite product with you.

I am professional

BLOGGER EVENTS – some tips from my side!

In general I wanna say something, thank you very much for inviting me to all these awesome events BUT not all swiss bloggers are living in ZUERICH, where almost all of the events are taking place. so in case you invite a blogger to your event, make sure that you cover their train tickets. why should a blogger attend your event paying for it by himself and then in the end write about the event and product for a goodie bag or for the products itself? for a person without 1/2 tax a train ride from BS to ZH including the local tram tickets is around 80 CHF.

A HUGE NOOOOOOOO !!

these expenses should be calculated in the budget and it should be normal for the PR companies to inform the bloggers about that. since one year I am only attending events in ZH when the organizer covers my travel expenses. If not I am not coming to ZH as simple as that.

again I am very grateful and happy to be invited so don’t get me wrong. its just after a year of attending events in ZH for my blog I ended up spending 1500 CHF only on tickets and that was a year when I was not attending so many events, I think there were about 18 events or so. but still I ended up paying for my blogposts – do you know what I mean?

another thing that I have noticed at the last couple of events. bloggers dont want the food that you would serve at a farmers union, so please check if there are enough vegetarian or even vegan alternatives. the biggest NOOOOOOO of the I am PROFESSIONAL event was the food. IT WAS REALLY REALLY BAD, as the first 4 rounds of food where chicken, ham, cheese, and meatballs. SERIOUSLY ??? ever heard of vegetarian or vegan lifestyle? I could go bananas on this topic as I feel like a lot of people that organize those events have no idea for whom they are preparing the event. so PLEASE make sure to have meals without cheese and without meat. the sad thing about the I am PROFESSIONAL event was that there was sooo much meat left that nobody wanted, a real pitty if you think that animals had to die for that.. so in that case less is really more : )

I will start to write a blogger manual as I have so many things to complain about. something very uncommon here on isawsomethingnice where I try to only focus on positive things. but I am sure there are many bloggers out there that share the same thoughts.

STYLING

alright, enough said about the food and ticket situation. now lets move on the the styling part that was really cool. I happened to have a very nice stylist and she created some natural looking curls and braided the front to the back. thank you very much, it was really nice to be pampered.

I am professional

and here finally some vegetarian food arrived, delicious falafel balls but unfortunately they only made like a handful of them and sadly they were gone within seconds. the other alternative they pulled out was a vegetarian quiche, mmhhmm it was delightful but again same issue here, the amount of vegetarian food was just not enough!!

I am professional

and here you can see the final result of my hair styling by I am PROFESSIONAL. my favorite product is the SMOOTH AND GLOSSY hairspray that really helped to hold my curls. unfortunately there was a massive pour down on the way to the train station and I lost half of the volume of my curls but still it looked nice. check the photos on twitter to see more >>

HEAT PROTECTION

what do you use to protect your hair? I have so far tried many different products. they are not bad but unfortunately none of them makes me really happy. I often use the heat protection product on dry hair and this makes it not always easy to get the product evenly thru the hair. another problem I have is that these products weight down my hair and make them look flat. I either use the hairdrier or the straightening iron to make wavy or straight hair. I can not say that I dont like the products above its just that they could do more for me than they do. but let me tell you some positive things. because some of these products have an amazing fragrance and they do protect my hair against the heat. my favorite one is at the moment the newest product the MYTHIC OIL and I will have to use it a bit more in order to be able to really compare it to the other ones.

L’OREAL PARIS ELNETT
L’OREAL professionnel Mythic Oil NEW!
MATRIX DESIGN PULSE
COPPOLA KERATIN COMPLEX

I am curious what you use. please let me know. and comemnt below.

HAIR STYLING

I am really trying to stick to summer but hey I live in switzerland and fall has already hit us! anyway I have found a nice way to keep summer in my life by using these awesome producst for my hair! not only the products scream summer but also the scents. all of these products have to be applied to wet hair and make big, full, wavy, voluminous hair.

I have already showed you the TOTALLY BAKED product a couple weeks ago – for the folks who have not read this yet can read it here » it has such a lovely sweet lemon tarte scent – mmhhmm! another favorite of mine is the L’Oreal Professionnel DUAL STYLERS by tecni.ART BOUNCY & TENDER – a cream and gel duo for defined and soft curls. such a funny tube as it has two tubes in one. the outer one holds the gel and the inner one holds the cream. I am in love with the scent – I really wanna rub this thing all over my body 🙂 because of its good scent. last but not least my newest product is the ROLLAND OWAY FLUX POTION – soft-hold sculpting fluid with biodynamic marrubium, organic black quinoa, aamla and ethically-produced marula. it is fragrance free and paraben free but still it has a very fresh lemony scent. it gives my hair a nice grip and I feel it is a lot easier to blowdry with a round bristle brush.

next to my products you can see a tiny bit of my beautyiful bowl by mebel – you can use it for fruits, vegies, salad or I dunno what else 🙂 at the very moment I use it for fruits. in case you wanna have a closer look at it check here »

BEACHWAVES

BEACHWAVES
in 3 simple steps!

what do you need for that? the L’Oreal Professionnel Wild Stylers techniART kit with the comb and the net and lots of bobby pins.

step one – wet your hair a tiny bit and separate different sections
spray the product on each section of the hair.
step two – roll the sections up to little rolls and pin them to your head.
step three – put on the net and blow dry your hair

you will have amazingly big beach wavy hair after these three simple steps. it took me about 20 minutes to do it and I am really happy with the result.

SOMETHING NEW

Kérastase Discipline

Bain Fluidealiste 250ml/ 29 CHF
Fondant Fluidealiste 200ml/ 41 CHF
Fluidissime 150ml/ 39 CHF

my new favorite shampoo and conditioner – bain Fluidealiste and fondant Fluidealiste – make my hair very smooth and silky. I use them both every time I wash my rather dry and color-treated hair, which is about every second or third day. I have not used the Fluidissime styling that often yet but it claims to protect the hair up to 230°C – wow, freaking hot!

Kérastase event at operahouse in ZH

I have not been to the operahouse before and so I was not only excited to see the new products but also to see the interior and the ballet. everything was very beautiful. from the outside you would never guess that inside you will find a  neo-rococo theatre. Kérastase launched their newest collection with the prima ballerina DIANA VISHNEVA. “discipline” is the name of the new collection – something you can see in perfection when watching a ballet dancer. as I have already said in my previous outfit post, I have only used the products this morning for the first time and therefore its a bit to soon for a review but stay tuned. xx

SOMETHING NEW

Kérastase Soleil CC Crème

yes, I was also laughing when I have seen this new product by Kérastase. BB CC everywhere and now also for the hair! As you know how curious I am of course I had to try it and see what it does. And let me tell you, this little bugger smells delicious and can be used on damp or dry hair, before and after sun exposure. its a very light texture that doesnt weigh down my fine hair but leaves a nice shine.

the product claims:

complete care cream
with three enhancing actions
protect, repair and illuminate
leave-in
for all hair types

I have not used it that often yet, also because it was raining the last couple of days and it is meant to be used in the sun I will definitely use it in the future and will let you know if I am going to repurchase it or not. stay tuned! xx

MATRIX products

MATRIX Biolage Volume Bloom and MATRIX Wonder BOOST – lets do something for fine hair! And do you know what, I do got very fine hair.

The Biolage Volume Boost Shampoo and Conditioner contain cotton and no parabens. I used it for the last couple of weeks and I like to switch shampoos that means that I am always having at least 3 products standing in the shower. Like this its easier for me to directly compare the products and effects and also I feel that its better for my hair to have a change every now and then. I previously introduced some other Biolage products, click here >> and I am still using them to this very day!

What can I tell you about these products, other than that they work great for me. They smell amazing, the shampoo lathers and the conditioner makes my hair so smooth and easy to comb.

Let me introduce you to MATRIX Amplify Volume Wonder Boost Root Lifter – another great product for fine hair! How do I use this?

Use on damp hair, direct snozzle applicator close to the scalp or all over, blow dry, set or dry naturally, style as usual. Very simple but very effective! I can compare this product to the Alterna Bamboo Volume 48 hours sustainable volume spray and I can not tell you which one I like more as they both create amazing volume – they will be used up both!

MATRIX BIOLAGE

MATRIX BIOLAGE

I found an amazing shampoo #HYDRASOURCE for dry hair without paraben! OMG – this product lathers! as some of you may know I love shampoos that lather a lot! I know its the Sulfate which is known to dry out the hair which makes the nice lather! this shampoo makes my hair feel soft and gives it an amazing grip. I actually hate fresh washed hair.. I think my hair looks best the day after washing it.. but with this shampoo I start to like my hair after washing it! maybe its the combination of the new conditioner #COLORLAST for color treated hair also without paraben. #EXQUISITEOIL with Moringa Oil Blend for replenishing treatment. this oil is a 3in1 product, as you can use it as a conditioner before washing your hair, overnight as a treatment or for styling! It smells delicious! I showed you my THE BODY SHOP moringa oil last year and I think these products are equally good. the only difference is that the one from THE BODY SHOP can be applied to body and face.

SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND

the new AESOP hair treatment!

I have been using it for the last couple of weeks and I gotta say it is really an amazing oil. 2-3 drops are enough for mid length hair. I use it as an everyday conditioner in the midlenght or as a mask applying it from the roots to the ends. The smell of it might not be everyones cup of tea.. but for the folks who know AESOP they will like the smell for sure! It makes my hair shinier and brighter. Especially for dyed hair it shows great effects and makes the color shine like a diamond!
