HOW TO MAKE A SOLID TRAY

1 VIKTIGT tray (found via IKEA)
2 ROPE
3 TAPE
4 DRILLING MACHINE
5 SCISSORS
5 SAND PAPER (optional)

another simple DIY that I have made with another cool piece that I have found at IKEA. I love to use things a bit differently, and thats why we use a cutting/chopping board for a tray today.

I am sure that some of you, including me, love to hang out on the couch and drink tea or whatever. my problem is always where to put my cup of tea so that it is close to me but on a solid spot. thats how I got the idea to make something solid, the perfect solid tray.

step one
start by drilling four holes, two on each side. I used a hole puncher to measure the distance between the holes. also make sure to not drill too close to the edge or the wood may break, and not too far into the center, as you want the holes to be on the cut side of the tray. another thing I did was to keep the plastic on the board to avoid scratches.

step two
use a piece of sand paper to smoothen the driled holes.

step three
measure enough rope so you can put your hands around the handles and have enough to tie a knot. loop the rope thru the holes and tie knots at the ends.

thats it, very simple and easy, right? I had so much fun creating this DIY and I hope you all like the way it turned out. in case you did something similar or feel inspired to make your own tray please leave a comment below, I love hearing from you. X

and now lets have a look how you can use our newly made DIY in action. my intention was to use it for drinking tea on the couch and be sure that the tea wont spill but now I saw how cute it can look as a simple presentation board. so as you can see the options to use are endless.

wow – look at these goodies by LA ROCHE POSAY. I am a huge red lover and was nicely surprised to see their new products. are you familiar with the brand LA ROCHE POSAY? the brand started in the same named french region and is now part of the huge L’Oréal. here you can see another overview picture with all the new things.

new lipsticks, yay! NOVALIP DUO
in 185 ORANGE LASER and 191 PUR ROUGE
a moisturizing lipstick with intense pigmentation, it goes on really smoothly and
kept my lips moisturized. I love both of the colors, one red is a bit more orange and the other one is a darker red. great everyday lipsticks!

more red things, here I wanna show you the two new nail polishes SILICIUM
in 22 ROUGE COQUELICOT and 24 ROUGE PARFAIT. matching the lipsticks there is also a more orange red and a darker red. I have not tried them yet, and I am very much looking forward to doing so. I will keep you up to date via social media. stay tuned.

RESPECTISSIME INTENSE LINER is the newest eyeliner by LA ROCHE POSAY and it indeed is black that stays black after applying. I love a simple black eyeliner look and it works great with the red lipsticks. let me see whether I can find some time to take some photos of me wearing these gorgeous new pieces.

RESPECTISSIME OMBRE DOUCE in 01 SMOKY GRIS is a lovely palette with 3 colors. there is a nice nude concealing base color and two different shades of grey. all these eye products are greatfor sensitive skin and eyes and are also recommended while wearing contact lenses.

that was it, I am thru almost all the new products, I left out the mascara because I have not checked it out yet and I am not wearing mascara on a daily base. lets see I might get back about it on social media. we will see. in case you wanna know more about the new pieces have a look at the LA ROCHE POSAY WEBSITE.

ouff, it is monday night – two days after my birthday and I am processing all the joy and love from my party. it was an epic night – one to remember and keep close to the heart. again thank you to all my lovely friends for making it happen. thanks for all the gorgeous flowers and thanks for the delicious chocolate and olive oil. I got so many cool things, some of them are worth to blog about because I have never seen such things. stay tuned for more info.

now back to the HOME SWEET HOME topic, because today I wanna show you the small transformation of our guest room. we are not completely done – it will be a step by step change. so far I have flipped the black DRÖNA boxes by IKEA that are actually ment to be put in the IKEA shelf with the squares, I forgot the name of it and I used the black big binder paper clips to stack and secure them.

once you have built your desired shelf with the boxes and clips it is time to decorate the top.I am a big fan of WOHNREVUE and a stack of magazines always looks good. next to the magazines I put the new HOMMAGE d’ipuro ST ANTOINE candle and the ipuro season line diffuser in WHITE ORCHID. mhhmm, they are both super nice and together even better – scents are such a personal thing and
everyone has a different approach so just visit the next shop like DEPOT or MANOR and see for yourself which scents you like. next to the candle and diffuser I put the two MOLESKINE books one for travel and one for fashion. our future plan is to build two shelfes for all our electronic devices, office and creative stuff like folders, paint and other materials. I will soon show you the other side of the room with the new couch, that can be extended to a bed. we just had guests from poland and they said they liked to sleep on it. above the couch there is the world map with the pins – something that I have already shared with you – read more here >>

I have used the I AM 10in1 miracle beauty balm and I can totally say that this product is made for a practical and busy woman with little space in their bathroom. I mean ten products in one – c’mon thats amazing, right? so let me tell you the ten thing this little bugger is good for:

1. intensive treatment √
2. repars hair dammage √
3. against capillary fracture
4. prevents split ends
5. heat protection
6. anti static √
7. silky shine √
8. softness √
9. moisturizes √
10. perfect combability √

I have checked √ all the points that I can either immediately see or things that I discovered after using it for a while. to really see whether it prevents split ends and is against capillary fracture is something that can only be said after using it for a while and be able to compare it to something similar thats why I kept those points unchecked. unfortunately I have not tried the ZOÉ REVITAL crème de jour SPF 15 raffermissante and I am planning to give it to one of you – so you get to try it and see if you like it – I will announce the give away via facebook – stay tuned. I have already showed you my new bowl by mebel in previous posts but today I really wanna mention it here on my blog and show you where to purchase it.
