so these new buggers have all found their way to my mail box and are ready to be shared with all of you. some of the pieces I have already tried and some not. so lets start with the update:
M.A.C / brooke candy nailpolish / BLACK STALION
I have not had the time to use this nail polish yet but I absolutely love the color!
LE PETIT MARSEILLAIS / hypoallergenique shower cream / aloe vera / almond butter
since I am using soap bars in the shower I have not bought any bottled shower gels and thats why I have not tried it yet. as soon as I am out of all the soap bars that I have bought in Cassis, France, I will give this shower cream a try.
M.A.C / veluxe brow liner / dark brunette
a super awesome brow pencil. I was already a big fan of the M.A.C brow pencils before and can really see an improvment in that one. I either use it alone or with my benefit brow kit.
MUGLER / angel muse edT
thank you very much for sending me this new MUGLER fragrance. unfortunately this is not my cup of tea and I will find someone that I can give this to. are you interested? if so, please leave a comment below.
URIAGE / moisturizing lipstick
for all the people with chaped lips, this is another great product to use on a daily base. I am a huge fan of the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour stick and the Clarins oil balms and with this moisturizing stick by URIAGE I have found another favorite.
URIAGE / gentle cleansing syndet
I did not have the time to try this gentle cleansing lotion yet. it says that it can be used for face and body and therefore in the future it will be in my shower. at the moment I am cleansing my face with either the LUBEX anti-age cleansing milk or with cleansing oils by either CLINIQUE or L’Occitane. as soon as I am out of these buggers I will give it a try. or in case that I am only using it for the body I will start using it after the LE PETIT MARSEILLAIS shower cream.
AESOP / herbal deodorant
I did not try this new aluminum free deodorant yet. so I can not really say much about it other than telling you about its ingredients: sage leaf, zinc, ricinoleate and which hazel.
M.A.C / pro longwear waterproof colour stick / madly sunny
I have not had the time to play with this bright eye color stick. absolutely love the color and will for sure have lots of fun with this at the beach as it is waterproof.
L’OCCITANE / sublime repairing oil
I have not tried this repairing hair oil yet but I can not wait to. the thing is that eventhough I am using hair oils after every hair wash (about two times a week) they still last quiet a while. at the moment I have the following oils in my bathroom: REDKEN diamond blow dry oil, KERASTASE chronologiste and the KERASTASE elixir ultime. as soon as I am done with all of these oils I will give this sublime oil a try.
that was it from my beauty update. I wish you all a lovely day and hope to soon see you again on my blog. X
I have sensitive skin and in winter my rather normal skin tends to become very dry and therefore needs an extra dose of moisture. as you can read from the title I use different creams in winter than I use in summer and if I am not using a cream I am using a dry oil – like the one from LUBEX anti-age or the one from Kiehls – and if that is not the case either I am using a cream mask over night. after cleaning my face with either a cleansing oil or a cleansing balm I apply toner and then my skin is ready for the cream. try to wash your hands before scooping cream out of the container. unfortunately all the creams I use at the moment are not to squeeze and thats really a negative thing when you have sensitive skin. you want to be sure that your cream is free from bacteria or germs. but the advantage of these containers is that you can scoop every last tiny part out and can use the jars for DIY things like making your own candles or creams. the SHISEIDO cream came with a tiny spatula. I use this to apply all the creams and I wash it with very hot water after every use.
if you love almonds you are going to love this moisturising cream by KORRES, a greek brand. (product are made in Greece) 2
if your skin has lost the glow you had during summer then you are going to love the glow revival cream by SHISEIDO, a japanese brand. (but the product is made in France) 3
if your skin is very dry and needs more comfort then you are going to love this comforting cream by L’Occitane, a french brand. (product made in France)
I loooove scented candles, especially in winter! so today I wanna share some of my favorite scented candles with you. and as you can see in the photo above also something that is scented but not a candle. I will get back to that soon. alright, lets start with
wow – what a beautiful collaboration between Pierre Hermé and L’Occitane, I absolutely love the packaging! some of you might wonder who is Pierre Hermé ? he is a very well known French pastry chef that is most famous for his macarons, many of which have unusual flavor combinations. I can absolutely see his signature in the packaging of the fragrances.
Eau de Toilette Pamplemousse Rhubarbe Eau de Toilette Jasmin Immortelle Neroli
so in case you are already putting together your christmas presents for your beloved ones this might be something to consider. the products can also be purchased in sets and there is always a matching hand and bodycream with the two fragrances.
sigh I am tempted to buy the sets only for the awesome packaging, hahaha, that is how much I love it! I am curious what you think about this collaboration. leave me a comment below. X
VERVEINE AGRUMES by L’OCCITANE is really worth a try – something new fresh and nice for spring summer. there are many different products and I got to try the shampoo and the body milk but have not opened them yet. too many other things to try first 🙂 hahahaha, thats the life of a blogger – no I am just kidding, certain things need time to really test and I only want to write about things in detail when I have tested them. so this blogpost is more an announcement.
finally the sun is back in town and this makes everything a lot easier. at the moment I am planning some outfit posts and am so excited to travel to KARLSRUHE
this friday – soon more via my SOCIAL MEDIA channels. X
L’OCCITANE has launched a new collection AMANDE velvet and it smells like heaven or at least thats what I think heaven could smell like if such thing exists. so when I have received those two lovely products I didnt know with which one to start and I decided to try them both and when I was reading more about it that actually made sense as there is a balm and a serum.
the velvet balm is a nice cream with almond tree native cells that help to intensely nourish the skin. it also makes the skin look refined, firmer and smoother. the velvet serum should be applied before the velvet balm and it makes the skin feel plumped, look more even and smooth. it also helps to reduce the appearance of sun-induced dark spots.
I was already a huge fan of the AMANDE milk – read more here << and the new AMANDE velvet balm is very similar but less rich and creamy. the AMANDE velvet balm has a floral and powdery scent of blooming almond trees! mmhhmm – so nice!
L’OCCITANE gives 100% of the price to promote women’s entrepreneurship in Burkina Faso! so lets’s support eachother and spend 5 CHF for this 20gr balm that works for hair lips and body! I used the apricot fragranced shea butter on my dry chapped lips and it helped immediately!
enjoy the sunny day and lots of love to everybody men and women – one love!
this could be a nice present for you or friends who love floral scents as the name implies its about cherries but not only – have a look at the different ingredients in the different notes of the fragrance.
nuances of lemon tingle together with black currant and watermelon. heart notes
easy and carefree, the cherry blossoms combined with the notes of violet and rose. base notes
the fragrance has a subtle musk wood touch.
its available at all the L’OCCITANE shops in february so it will be perfect for the people that celebrate valentines day <3
I am really looking forward to January 2015 as there will be new products by L’OCCITANE. I am super happy to be able to try these buggers now and I will let you know what I think about them as soon as I have used them. As I love cleansing oils I am looking very much forward to cleansing my face with the new Huile Demaquilante and pamper it afterwards with the lovely Crème Confort Légère.
“when Olivier Baussan first learned of the unique properties of shea butter he found himself at an airport in Africa. very impressed by the history of this sacred tree whose nuts are harvested mostly by women, he gave up his first order for shea butter a few weeks later.
at that time – about thirty years ago -the shea butter was sold only in local markets . since then, it has changed the lives of women in Burkina Faso. the solidarity partnership began with ten to twenty women- today over 15,000 women work in that sector.
for L’Occitane Shea Butter has become a care component with cult status. it has paved the way to economic independence for the women of Burkina Faso. the international success is shared with the co-operatives in a sustainable and equitable partnership that makes the regional production of shea butter with the highest biological quality possible.
in 2013 L’ Occitane was the key player in the development of the market for fair trade shea butter with his record order of 660 tons of shea butter. the United Nations Development Programme (programme des nations unies pour le développement / UNDP ) awarded L’Occitane due to his involvement in Burkina Faso as an exemplary company.”
I love love love the new ARLESIENNE L’OCCITANE collection – it smells absolutely delicious! available online and in all the shops! I think this would be the perfect X MAS present for people that love floral scents as it is made out of three flowers: ROSE – SWEET VIOLET – SAFFRON.
thank you very much for sending these lovely two products as soon as I have finished all my other showergels I will for sure use this one – so long!
I finally found the time to tell you about some amazing new things. let me start from left to right. a couple of weeks ago I was invited to ZH to the Blaue Ente Restaurant to attend the L’Occitane Aromachologie presentation. thank you very much for having me there and for the amazing goodiebag. so whats new from their side. ?? As we know that they support many fairtrade projects and work animal cruelty free it doesnt surprise me that they have decided to switch from plastic to glass containers. indeed, glass is a lot easier to recycle – also the looks of the bottles have a very vintage touch and all this truly underlines the visions of Olivier Baussan, the founder of L’Occitane.
Brume D’Oreiller Relaxante Huile de Massage Relaxante Pochettes Parfumees Relaxantes
there are two new lines by L’Occitane, the relaxante and tonifiante rituals. either for the morning or night with a touch of lemon, rosemary, grapefruit, mint, oranges, lavender or almondoil. have a wonderful day and an even better night!
one of my all time favorites is the Brume D’Oreiller Relaxante Spray. OMG – it makes my bed smell like a SPA! thats what I want, a nice, calm, good smelling place to spend relaxing hours of sleep and thats what you get with this product. my bottle is already half thru because I use it almost every night. I spritz a couple of times all over my bed, pillow and sheets and enjoy the natural fragrance and zzZZZZzzz
also I wanted to share with you my magazines that I have found at the KIOSK at the German railway station in Basel. BLONDE – WOHNREVUE – FRÄULEIN– which are your favorite magazines?
and then last but not least I wanna tell you about yesterdays SISLEY Paris presentation at the DOLDER GRAND in Zurich. ooh lala, what an amazing location. I felt like a princess and was eager to check out the new products by SISLEY. thanks so much for all the goodies. I am a fan of the eau tropical and I adore the Masque Creme a la Rose Noire. Have you tried the SUNLEYA sunscreen by SISLEY? I didnt do that yet but I will bring this little bugger to Ticino, yes I am spending the weekend in the Italian part of Switzerland. Cant wait!! I will get back to you in detail about the new SISLEY products that will be available in September 2014. stay tuned. xx
something new! my friend Sara is testing the Gel Radieux for I SAW SOMETHING NICE. She has normal skin with dry patches and likes creams that are not too heavy – so the gel texture is perfect for her. I prefere a creamier texture and thats why I started using the Crème Radieuse. so far we both like the Gel and Crème. Its easy to apply and it works great with Foundation and BB Creams. The organic Angelica Seed Extract keeps your skin moisturized for 24 h (Gel) to 48 h (Crème)!
