KANDIA REGAL

I got my hands on these two bars of chocolate when I was in Bucharest during Christmas last year and I wanted to find out more about romanian chcolate. here is what I found out:

“the first romanian chocolate products with royal name were launched at Elisabeta Palace on April, 6, 2015. “Kandia Regal” is the name, including three sorts: milk chocolate named after Princess Margareta, dark chocolate with 55 pc cocoa named after Prince Radu and dark chocolate with 75 pc cocoa Peles Castle.”

“in Romania, for more than 120 years, the Royal House has encouraged the national chocolate production, each generation, starting with King Carol I and Queen Elisabeth attached their names to the Romanian chocolate. there was even a chocolate factory ‘Queen Mary’, set up in 1919.”

I only tried the 55pc and 75pc cocoa chocolate and they were super delicious, not too sweet and not too bitter. I personally liked the 55pc a bit better than the 75pc. not sure if I could tell the difference between this dark chocolate and the LINDT dark chocolate that I usually eat. so it def has some chance to be compared to swiss chocolate!

SMOOTHIE

this morning I started with a delicious milky smoothie. I had frozen raspberries, a banana and milk and these are all the things one needs to make this very smoothie. its very simple and all you need in addition is a jar or jug and a stick blender. a very optional thing is to have a fancy paper straw. I found mine via DAISO, a japanese shop in San Francisco.

1/2 glass MILK
1 bowl RASPBERRIES
1 big BANANA

put everything in the jar and use the stick blender to mix everything. once you are happy with the consistency pour it in your favorite glass, add a straw and thats it!

I am a big fan of these biodegradable paper straws, they totally make my day! they make a simple glass of water look fancy and I love to drink my smoothies with a straw, the only down side is that they start to degrade or fall apart very fast, so make sure to either have enough in order to switch your straw every now and then or you have to drink fast, lol! have a good day! X

I have tried two more of the Lubex anti-age products and today I wanna tell you a little bit about the CLEANSING MILK and TONIC. in case you have missed my latest product review have a look here <<

“gin and tonic for you and milk and tonic for me”

the mild cleansing formula gently removes makeUp and I have really tried it to the max meaning I removed all my makeUp with it including the eyemakeUp. I read that it is not removing some of the waterproof mascaras but I am never using any waterproof one so I can not tell. cleaning your skin is the first step to a clear and healthy looking skin and when I used the cleansing milk it felt like it already started to pamper my skin. on the packaging I read that the skin caring effect already starts during cleansing. et voila! it contains Vitamin C – ProVitamin E and Coenzym Q10 that help to reduce the dammage caused by the environment.

I applied the milk all over my face and neck including the eye area then I have used a damp cotton pad to remove the access. when I was wearing a heavy foundation and lots of eyemakeUp I had to do it two times. I have to be honest with you that I am actually not a big fan of cleansing milks and that every morning in the shower I use a foaming face wash and use water to clean my face. but then I read a lot about sensitive skin and not using water to clean the face and it made me think if that might be the solution to my skin issues.. I gave it a try and am using the cleansing milk for the last two weeks and I really got used to it. I have only used it in the evening as I take a shower every morning and still clean my face with water.

after cleaning my face I am ready for step two: the tonic! it refreshes the skin and makes it supple and nice. hyaluronates help to hydrate the skin and protect it from dehydration. I pumped two or three times and that was enough for my face and neck. the tonic prepares your skin for the next step: serum. the packaging of the tonic says that it is aqueous base without alcohol. yay – that is perfect for my sensitive skin. most of the common tonics contain alcohol and for most of the people this works fine but not for me. : )

this is one of my favorite fragrances EVER! modern muse by Estée Lauder for everyday and the modern muse chic for a special occassion. at least thats how I wear these fragrances. tomorrow is christmas eve and I hope that you already have all your presents for family and friends. in case you havent I can highly recommend to get one of these gift boxes. thank you Estée Lauder for spoiling me – merry christmas! xx

IN THE SHOWER

in-shower is the new thing! I have tested the NIVEA in-shower lotions and milks and I got totally hooked. in winter I am feeling too cold to apply lotion and in summer I m too hot – so when I discovered these products I knew that this was exactly my thing.

so how to use it? first you use your normal showergel or creme or whatever you use to wash your body. once you are clean you can apply the in-shower lotion. make sure not to drop any product as it can be very slippery – so be aware! the in-shower body lotions are like a conditioner. you apply it once the body is clean and then rinse it off and ready you are. my skin is very dry and thats why I like the in-shower body milk (darkblue) the best.

These are the BESTSELLER products by L’OCCITANE. As I told you in my previous post this month is all about BEAUTY BESTSELLERS. Let me tell you a little bit about these amamzing products.

I have colored hair and I used #1 Eclat & Soin Couleur Shampoo for a couple of hairwashes and I really must say its an amazing product. Mostly herbal products do not latter but the Eclat & Soin Couleur smells really good and latters. As some of you may already know I have very dry skin and therefore I m always looking for rich body creams or butters. #2 Concentre de lait AMANDE is a perfect cream for dry skin. It smells delicious and it moisturizes and absorbs very fast. I use it allover my body and I can get dressed immediately without feeling greasy or so. Some weeks ago I posted something about handcreams, the post was caled “things I hardly use but I should” there I already featured the #3 Creme Mains Rose Heart with 20% Shea Butter.
