for the last couple of weeks I have been trying out these MATRIX design pulse hair products.

#THERMO GLIDE
Express Blowout Creme, for fast drying and silky smooth finish. it helps protect from high temperature styling tools. apply to clean, damp hair.

I can directly compare this product to the Elnett de Luxe 230° C style spray and I think they are really alike. both help to protect from high temperature styling and both help straightening the hair and they also both smell good. packagingwise I prefere the MATRIX tube but I really dont like the design of the design pulse line, its too bold and too black for me.

#SMOOTH SHIELD
Anti Humidity Hairspray that locks in smooth and controls frizz in any weather. 24 hours humidity resistance and hold.

my hair is naturally wavy with straight parts, ever since I have started to dye my hair I really got frizzy roots and this spray is a holy grail, it really controls my frizzy hair! its a light texture spray that is not making your hair look dry or hard. I love it! thanks MATRIX, this is my favorite product out of the design pulse line!

#CLEAN REMIX
Instant Dry Shampoo, that refreshes the hair and absorby oil for a cool second day look.

I dont really like to wash my hair too often and therefore I am a big fan of dry shampoos in general. I already tried many and I can directly compare this MATRIX dry shampoo to the label M dry shampoo I was using before. they both do a great job when it comes to absorbing the oil but I prefer the smell of the label M product.

After enjoying the new LANCASTER sun control products I just felt like trying these new self tanners aswell. They come in two different shades #light and #medium – so as I am quiet pale I started with the #light Self Tan Beauty for face and the one for body and face.

#light “a week end in CAPRI”
#medium “a week in IBIZA”

I recommend to exfoliate the skin in order to prepare it for the self tanning product. like this you get rid of any excess of dry skin and the tan will last longer and more radiant.

so far I really like the result. I applied it 2 a week and I dont see any streaks. I will continue to use the light Self Tan Beauty and maybe then switch to the medium.

My main problems are my dry feet and heels. So the pedix FEET Heel Smoothing Stick is perfect for that! The product claims: “Its the ideal treatment for targeted relief of dry, cracked heels. Active ingredients like Panthenol, Allantoin and Urea immediately care for the skin and protect against new formation callus.” I have started to use this stick every other night and I can already feel a difference the morning after.

What do I do before I apply the stick? I use the new TWEEZERMAN SoleMate Tools. It consists of 2 tools: a File and a Smoother. Soak your feet in lukewarm water, then scrub with Tweezerman’s Sole Mate Foot File and Smoother.

Have you heard about the pedix FEET Purifying Energy Pads?
The product claims: “These Purifying Energy Pads for the feet boost foot care, stimulate a feeling of well-being and support a good nights sleep. Place pads on bottom of feet and wear as you sleep. Remove in the morning! The energy pads contain natural acetic acids and tourmaline, which, according to traditional Chinese Medicine, are said to encourage the elimination of metabolic waste products and environmental toxins via our intenral cleansing organs. According to TCM, all organs, muscles and body functions are reflected in the feet of every individual in so-called reflex points.”

The box contains 14 stickers and herbbags for a 7 day treatment. I started 2 days ago and I am really amazed by the effect it has to my feet. When I apply the herbbags at night, they are dry and have a rather light beige color. In the morning when I remove the pads, the herbbag is rather wet and turned almost black. So something is happening over night!

TRYING OUT SOMETHING NEW

my friend Amanda, who works at the KIEHLS booth inside MANOR Basel was so nice to set me up with some samples to try. She recommended the KIEHLS SUNFLOWER shampoo and conditioner together with the MAGIC ELIXIR for my dry scalp and colored hair.

so what did I do?
last night before going to bed, I massaged the MAGIC ELIXIR oil into my scalp and gently moved the oil from the roots to the ends. I wrapped a towel around my head and went to bed. This morning my hair looked sooo greasy but it smelled very very good. So I used the SUNFLOWER shampoo and conditioner to wash out the oil. And the result is stunning. My scalp is not dry anymore, no dandruff and my colored hair shines super bright!

would I buy these products?
I would definitely buy the MAGIC ELIXIR OIL and the SUNFLOWER CONDITIONER. The Shampoo I didnt like so much as it leaves a funny feeling on the hair and this only goes away once you have applied conditioner. I feel like the shampoo dries out my hair and I dont like that.

I am a lipstick person from the bottom of my heart, I told you before that if I can only take one beauty item to an island I would choose one of my bright lipsticks. I guess that says everything about how crazy I am about the new mineralize rich lipsticks! so good is a wonderful dark magenta toned lipstick with a creamy finish.

ladies, spring is about to be here and Estée Lauder presents some really awesome new products. I was invited to the press lunch in Basel and had the opportunity to get all the products explained and introduced. we all got a booklet with the latest products and a lot of interesting tips!

#1 Sumptuous Infinite daring length and volume Mascara
Some of you may know that I am not a Mascara Fan at all 🙂 I hardly ever use Mascara.. But still I am always craving new things and I am one of these person who loves to try out new things. So of course I gave this Mascara a try and I have to say it does what it promises. It made my lashes look longer and made them dense and I really liked the shape of the brush.

#2 Revitalizing Supreme CC Creme
A new anti-aging CC Creme – which adapts to your skin color and gets slightly tinted. the Cream should be applied as the last step after the moisturizer and inbetween foundation. I wear the CC Creme on Sundays and I just wear it on top of my moisturizer and it makes my skin look very even and it reduces the redness on my cheeks.

#3 ReNutriv Ultimate Contouring Eye lift
I cant wait for summer.. this will be my best friend in summer! The new ReNutriv Eye Lift Creme has an amazing applicator out of ceramic which always stays cool. No matter if you have it in your purse or in your room it stays the same temperature. its like magic! I use it without creme and start from the inner part sliding outwards underneath my eyes, I repeat this 3 times per eye after that I apply the creme with the same move. I have been using it for the last couple of weeks and I really see a difference in my skin around my eyes – YAY!

#4 Pure Color Envy Lipstick
Bright lips, I am so ready for the spring summer colors of 2014.

#5 Modern Muse
Modern Muse – I love the name of the newest Estée Lauder fragrance.
The fragrance has a very elegant and soft note and became one of my favorite fragrances. I wouldnt say its a fresh scent but still it makes me feel very fresh and clean. I took it to London for the fashionweek and whenever I travel short distances with small luggage I limit myself to bring only one parfum and allow myself to buy one in the dutyfree 🙂 so this time I didnt find a suiting parfum on my way to london so this meant I had to use the same parfum everyday for one week 🙂 and I loved it!! on the way back I found something nice, something we dont have in switzerland, but I will tell you in another post. stay tuned. I can highly recommend to visit your local parfum shop and try the Modern Muse fragrance – I am sure you will love it too.

#6 Pure Color Nailpolish
Not only bright lips but also bright nails – the new Pure Color Nailpolishes are really nice. I wore it for several days and it didnt chip. But I also used the top coat from Estée Lauder so I cant tell you if it would chip or not if wearing it without top coat. I will try it and will let you know.

an alltime favourite of my mom, #1 Advanced Night Repair. She has been using this for at least 6 or more years and I can really see the effect it has to her skin. so when I read that Advanced Night Repair is among the bestselling products of Estée Lauder it really made me curious and I had to try it out myself. let me tell you, this is a magic product that will smoothen and soften your skin while you are asleep – not only smooth and soft it makes you look very fresh! #2 Double Wear foundation – aww.. this is one of my favourite foundations, it stays in place and leaves a nice finish. I apply it either with a foundation brush or with my fingers. the only thing I would change about this product is the design. I really miss a dispenser. the bottle opens with a lid and has no pumpsystem or so – therefore I think its not the easiest foundation for on the way.

this month it will be all about BEAUTY PRODUCT BESTSELLERS previously I have showed you the Bestellers of L’Occitane and The Body Shop and today I am going to show you the Bestsellers of M.A.C cosmeticsc.

red lips, I looove red lips, ergo I also love red lipsticks and my favourite red lipstick is one of the Besteller products by M.A.C – #1 “Ruby Woo” lipstick – a wonderful matte red. My third step of my skin routine in the morning is to apply primer, of course not every day but when I ll be out all day or if I have a photoshooting I use the #2 Prep & Prime Natural Radiance Base Visage – it makes my skin very even and leaves a perfect base for my foundation. After applying foundation I use concealer around my nose and on the red parts of my cheeks (couperose) – #3 Mineralize Concealer is the bestselling concealer by M.A.C and I can only use it around my cheeks and nose as it is too dry for under my eyes. I tried it several times but it always leaves very thin dry lines around my eyes.. and ofcourse I dont like that 🙂 so if you have rather oily skin around your eyes I would totally recommend this concealer. aaaww, the #4 Mineralize Rich lipstick in the shade “All Out Gorgeous” is sooo pretty!! I can not get enough of this color. As many of you might know I am a huge fan of bright lips so I totally agree with all the other ladies who make this product a bestseller. Do you use powder foundation? #5 Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation will be your favourite, I am sure about that. Personally I prefere to use liquid foundation as I dont like a too matte powdery finish on my dry skin. but I love to use it to set my bright lipsticks. An all time favourite of mine is the #6 Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder. I use it every day to set my foundation.

I have colored hair and I used #1 Eclat & Soin Couleur Shampoo for a couple of hairwashes and I really must say its an amazing product. Mostly herbal products do not latter but the Eclat & Soin Couleur smells really good and latters. As some of you may already know I have very dry skin and therefore I m always looking for rich body creams or butters. #2 Concentre de lait AMANDE is a perfect cream for dry skin. It smells delicious and it moisturizes and absorbs very fast. I use it allover my body and I can get dressed immediately without feeling greasy or so. Some weeks ago I posted something about handcreams, the post was caled “things I hardly use but I should” there I already featured the #3 Creme Mains Rose Heart with 20% Shea Butter. Its FEBRUARY and this month I will focus on “mostawarded and bestseller products” from different brands that I love. I start with the BESTSELLERS of The Body Shop. check what sells best and see what I think about the products here:

awww.. the #1 SHEA BUTTER SHOWER CREAM makes my skin super soft and I hardly need any additional moisturizer after showering with this. as I have very dry skin I need an extra layer of cream on my ellbows, feet and knees. thats when Bestseller #3 HONEYMANIA BODY BUTTER comes in handy – I loove the smell – it leaves my skin moisturized thruout the day. If I have a spot I use #2 TEA TREE OIL directly on my skin to dry out my spot and make it disappear within a day! For a regular day where I am not in front of the camera I often use BB Creams or Foundation with medium to ligth coverage. The #4 ALL-IN-ONE BB CREAM is a color adapting tinted cream and it leaves a glowy and dewy finish. They come in 4 different shades. I have 01 but I think it is a bit too light for me – even in winter 🙂 but I can still use it – I wear it with a bronzing powder or blush.

well, well, I do buy a lot of hand creams but infact I hardly ever use them and then I complain that my hands are not soft enough – pfff!
thats about to not happen anymore as I really try to carry one of these hand creams above in every single bag that I take with me in order to use more hand cream!

I LOVE IT

LADIES & GENTLEMEN.. I have a wonderful change to announce – I fell in love with the M.A.C Face & Body Foundation and use it instead of the M.A.C. Mineralize Foundation.

The best thing about the F&B Foundation is the finish, it has such a nice light texture. Once applied it looks very natural and can be build up by adding more layers for more coverage.

I use my fingers or a sponge to apply instead of my M.A.C. 187 brush and think it gave me way better results. The F&B Foundation really starts to become like a moisturizer when applied to face – perfect for my wintery dry skin!

Christmas is ahead – are you in the mood yet?

I received the L’OCCITANE en Provence Fleur D’Or Acacia parfum, showergel and handcream and I can tell you that I absolutely love the fragrance. A couple weeks ago I took this photo and uploaded it to my instagram and ever since I have been using the showergel everyday. So I will definitely repurchase this kit.
