ONE DRESS - MANY WAYS TO WALK IT

ONE DRESS – MANY WAYS TO WALK IT

one dress - many ways to walk it

I am so in love with this new dress that I have found in one of my favorite shops in Basel: Le Mouton a 5 Pates. A super simple grey SILVIAN HEACH dress to wear in many different ways. Today I wanna show you that you can wear the same dress and only change the shoes. A very simple way to make your dresses more versatile.

lets start with the comfiest and easiest way to walk: Sneakers. A pair of black sneakers should be key to every wardrobe. A very easy way to dress down a nice dress.

Metallic shoes were quiet a big trend. And I found my silver shoes in C&A on SALE for 19 CHF. An amazing bargain. Not only great to dress up your look in a comfy way but also perfect to jazz up a simple jeans and sweatshirt look.

And now a very easy way to upgrade your dress by wearing black heels. In my opinion every lady should have a pair of black heels. No matter if the heel height is only 2 cm.

Simple black flats, also something that we all should own. Nothing works better to make a chic outfit look more casual. I found these babes at ALDO in Marseille.

Boots are a great way to wear a dress in winter. I found these wedge boots at the Zalando Lounge Sale. They are very comfy to walk in due to the wedge heel. Black boots are perfect becasue they are working with so many different colors and looks. I am not so sure anymore whether I like these kind of boots with jeans. It somehow reminds me of the late 90s, early 2000, when this boot over skinny jean was a big success. Maybe with a pair of over the knee boots, who knows.

I wanna thank Miguel for taking the photos of me, it was quiet an adventure. We found this little platform on the water (Rhein) that was perfect to take the photos. I was able to get there with almost all the shoes, except for the wedge boots that you can see in the photo above.
Here is a photo that shows how hard it was to get to that tiny platform. I was prepared to fall in the super cold water but luckily didn’t. 🙂 Have a lovely day. X

HOW TO WEAR A SUMMER DRESS IN AUTUMN

HOW TO WEAR A SUMMER DRESS IN AUTUMN

Have you ever thought about how to bring a bit of summer with you into autumn? If yes, I
have the perfect outfit inspiration for you. As autumn should be the perfect transition from summer to winter it should also work like that with our clothes. I always push the day far into the end of fall, to finally move all my summer clothes to the end of my closet. That’s how I came up with the idea of this blog post: HOW TO WEAR A SUMMER DRESS IN AUTUMN.
Choose your favorite midi length summer dress and pair it with your favorite long sweater. I found mine at C&A its available in many colors. I figured the green one will work best with my favorite dresses and is also a great color for fall.

HOW TO WEAR A SUMMER DRESS IN AUTUMN

To make this look a casual one for every day wear flat shoes. I think these looks work best with either loafers or brogues. Via Polyvore I found some nice shoes, together with some really chic metallic spaghetti strap dresses and extra long sweaters.

SUMMER DRESS IN AUTUMN

I am so in love with these metallic dresses. I have a very similar skirt and I am sure I am going to pair it with my new long sweater by C&A. Something that you should keep in mind is to have a very simple color scheme for your summer dress to work in fall. My summer dress is a beige lace dress and I chose a green long sweater to wear it with and a light clutch and shoes.

SUMMER DRESS IN AUTUMN

HOW TO WEAR A SUMMER DRESS IN AUTUMN

I love the fact that my long sweater has cuts on the side and is made out of wool. Here in Basel fall can be quiet cold and layering is a good way to keep warm. So, check your wardrobe and dont be afraid that the dress might be too chic. The long sweater and the flat shoes will totally balance out your midi summer dress.

SUMMER DRESS IN AUTUMN JEWELRY SELECTION
HOW TO WEAR A SUMMER DRESS IN AUTUMN
Try to keep it a bit low key with your jewelry, especially when your dress has a special textured fabric. Like in my case with the beige lace. In order to not go over board but still have a bit of chic I would suggest a nice women watch and some very simple but cute earrings. Unfortunately I could not find the exact same earrings that I was wearing in the photo above, but I guess they are quiet similar. The sunglasses are from the fleamarket and work really well with the outfit and jewelry overall.

To sum it up, in order to create this look you need three essential things to make it work. You are going to need a midi length summer dress, a long sweater and flat shoes. I am pretty sure that you are having all these items in your wardrobe and would have never thought to wear them in that combination. But here we go, mix and match. That’s the fun part about fashion.

All this makes the “LUMA POP UP Steakhouse at Jonny Parker” an exceptional address for a dinner with friends and family or for a special business dinner.

LUMA POP UP BASEL

Annika and I arrived at the LUMA POP UP for the pre-opening on Friday, October, 14, 2016 around 7 PM. And we started our dinner night, with delicious butters and different kinds of warm buns. I really love the tiny wooden cutting board and enjoyed the small appetizer a lot. I gotta find out where I can get these cute boards. It would be perfect for butter and jam for my “sunday morning breakfasts on a tray” in bed. 🙂
Now lets have a look at the LUMA POP UP menu. The starters and the main dishes are written on black boards. A very neat idea. Annika chose: LACHS MILLE FEUILLES and the LUMA ART BEEF CUT FILET. I went for the KÜRBISCREME SUPPE and the POP UP VEGI SPECIAL.

Our greet from the kitchen was a LUMA meat ball and a vegetarian Knödel with black chanterelles. Annika loved the meat ball and my Knödel was really delicious. It was the first time I had black chanterelle – Totentrompete – a tasty mushroom. (more)
Our starters looked like that. In the first photo you can see Annika’s salmon mille feuilles with dill lemon panna cotta. Followed by my pumpkin cream soup sprinkled with truffle oil and chestnut crumbs.

PINK RIBBON CHARITY WALK 2016 with LUBEX ANTI-AGE

PINK RIBBON CHARITY WALK 2016

The Pink Ribbon Charity walk was a big success. I had lots of fun with TEAM LUBEX ANTI-AGE with whom I ran already last year. Pink Ribbon Charity Walk is taking place for the ninth time with 5,000 runners from 22 Swiss cantons.
Overall CHF 88,000 were raised and donated to the Swiss Cancer League. The annual breast cancer solidarity event has once again demonstrated the solidarity of the Swiss population with those affected, because the Pink Ribbon Walk is not about their own victory, but about putting a big sign in the fight against breast cancer in the community.

PINK RIBBON CHARITY WALK 2016

PINK RIBBON CHARITY WALK 2016

LUBEX anti-age had a booth at the Stadion. There they were handing out samples and gave helpful information about their awesome products. At the booth one had the chance to get a free hand massage treatment with the Lubex anti-age hydration oil. I would have never thought to use this oil for the hands, but indeed it works super well.

PINK RIBBON CHARITY WALK 2016

The PINK RIBBON CHARITY WALK 2016 was lots of fun. I heard that it was fully booked three days in advance. Thats awesome! In case you wanna run for a good cause next year check pink-ribbon.ch for more information.

OPEN ATELIER @ OSLO NIGHT 2016

Two weeks ago it was OSLO NIGHT 2016 and Cristian, Petr and Martin decided to show their work and open their atelier space for the OSLO NIGHT. They finished their work, created a flyer and started to invite people. That was the start of OPEN ATELIER @ OSLO NIGHT 2016.
OPEN ATELIER 2016
Martin, Cristian and Petr have worked in the Atelier at Oslostrasse 10 for the past three months. They showed their output at the OPEN ATELIER at OSLO NIGHT which was also their last day in that very Atelier. I am going to show you lots of photos and was able to ask some questions about their art pieces.
OPEN ATELIER 2016
Lets start with Petr. He was showing very beautiful black and white analog photographies. I asked him some questions about his work and here is what he said.
1. Photography seems to be your passion, how did it all start?

Probably it all started like any other story, the moment I took the camera in my hands. I believe I was not more than 7 or 8 years old. (By the way, I can clearly remember this first encounter with the camera 🙂 ) It was some sort of attachment to this domain, which surprisingly didn’t let me go ever since. I think it came to me very naturally or unconsciously, I never asked myself any question why do I take a photograph.
2. What was the idea behind your work that you are showing?
The opportunity to show my work among friends luckily has been coincided with the moment, where I felt like it is time to shift from “snapshotting” to conceptually thought trough photography. Basically trying to ask myself, why do I shoot this specific thing, why do I compose the image this way, and what do I want show or what kind of questions I want to ask the observer by doing this specific photograph. At this moment for me it was more about the step rather than a result, also taking into account that it is an actual first step in shifting to the new “category” of photography, hoping that the result will come in the next steps. So I asked myself what would be the perfect first. There was always some attachment to mountains for me and the fact that I currently live in Switzerland. It felt to me like the right thing to do, to make a series of the Swiss Alps. In order to proceed with the project, as the first step I decided to examine my subject in order to see where the project can lead me and which questions I should raise by doing so. I took the step as simple as possible – black and white film 100 iso, tripod and middle format camera. I started to shoot mountains, spending almost the whole day shooting the same mountain from the same point of view, examining and researching my subject. So now I am reflecting back on it and trying to figure out the questions I should ask for my next project and how I can make a final series with a strong conceptual base behind it. The pictures that were exhibited during our OPEN ATELIER were more “work in progress” photographs or a research phase of the project. I already have some ideas about the questions I’d like to raise in my next project, but I would prefer to share it later, hopefully there will be another opportunity, with actual photographs, rather than speculate here about it.
3. Which cameras do you use for what?

For the last 6 to 7 years I have only used analog cameras and I am a strong advocate for the analog photography. I prefer to use my middle format camera Hasselblad 500 cm, due to the higher resolution of the film and also the fact that I love the square format. I think it is the most democratic format, which doesn’t give a priority in any direction of the image. However when I can’t afford to invest a lot of time in a photo shooting I use my Leica m6. I have it with me amost every day just in case I see something nice I want to capture.
OPEN ATELIER 2016OPEN ATELIER 2016     OPEN ATELIER 2016
And now let’s talk about Cristian’s work. His pieces came with a text that you can read below.
The show is a collection of drawings, sculptures and models that are all developed
along the idea of the GRID as a tool for an anthropology study. The GRID stands as a
metaphor for human society with everything that the term can incorporate: politics, culture, history, interaction with natural elements and religion. The project is in the same time a personal memory box or journal, giving me the liberty to analyse trough the means of artistic expression my own Zeitgeist. The concept is broken in four major themes the GRID vs EVOLUTION, the GRID vs HUMANITY, the GRID vs LANDSCAPE and the GRID vs IDOLS. The show is a first step in this parkour. Moving from figurative to abstract, it formalises thoughts, questions and observations with the clear intention of not drawing any conclusions.
I asked him what kind of materials he has used and his answer was: plaster, rasin, achrylic paint, foam and clay.

OPEN ATELIER 2016
The OPEN ATELIER @ OSLO NIGHT was a big succes. I have already been to some OSLO NIGHTS before and I always like to check out the diploma projects of the Industrial and Fashion Design students. Like every year there is an After Party at the HEK, House of Electronic Arts.
OPEN ATELIER 2016
Last but not least, lets talk about Martin’s work. I asked Martin a couple of questions about his work that you can see below. I was amazed how well the pieces of the three worked together. It was a great way to use the space and show their work of the past three months.
OPEN ATELIER 2016
Here is what Marin told me about his work.
1. How did your passion for art start?

I spend all the hours in primary school doing drawings (mostly dinosaurs and war machines). Soon I figured out that drawing was the easiest way for me to “impress” my teachers and friends, so I guess it started there.
2. What describes your work best?

Hmm. Today I only show my abstract work, but normally I would say that what I do is very diverse. Maybe curiosity is a good way to describe my stuff.
3. What’s the idea/story behind the work you were showing at OPEN ATELIER?
I wanted to take my abstract work a step further. In order to do so I stacked all my old drawings and paintings on the floor to figure out what I was actually doing. It annoyed me that I could not see through everything at once and then the idea to paint on transparent materials started. After this it evolved into these transparent foils that I do myself. The idea is very basic, if there is no paint to hold the foil together it dissolves into pieces and there is nothing left at all.
OPEN ATELIER 2016
So, that was it from the OPEN ATELIER @ OSLO NIGHT 2016. I hope you were there yourself and if not, hopefully this was helpful to give you an impression of their work and workspace. I recorded a video of that event and will make a time lapse, soon to come. X

NUXE fall news

NUXE FALL NEWS

NUXE FALL NEWS
Are you ready for the NUXE fall news? I got a nice parcel with 3 of their new products and had great fun researching and taking these photos. I mean, look at this wonderful flower composition. I am so very happy to have teamed up with the lovely Carla from Festum Artis and Lush Interior Blog. (festum-artis.chlush-interiors.blogspot.ch). So lets start with a small interview to find out more about what Carla is doing.
1. Festum Artis, what a great name! How did you come up with it?
Thank you so much! Well, you’d think finding a company name can’t be that hard but it sure wasn’t easy either – at least not for me. Even though I knew exactly what my work should look like I didn’t know what to call it. Most of all I wanted a name that illustrates my aim at creating artful, one-of-a-kind decorations that give the event and its special moment the frameset it deserves. On the other hand – being the aesthete that I am – it had to be sophisticated. So I read about brainstorming techniques and started exactly that. Storming. Lots of it. And then there it was. It was just like with most things in life: you’ll know it when you see it. But in modern corporate times you don’t only have to have a physical company, you also need a digital identity. So the second I found out I could also register a fitting domain I knew it was meant to be!
2. When did you start Festum Artis, and what can we expect?
Festum Artis is still a very young company – I’ve had the fantastic opportunity to style a couple of events so far and I’m building it up continuously. But my journey started long before that – I’ve been running an interior design blog for five years now, giving decorating advice and also styled a friend’s wedding. I simply love all things beautiful and I value attention to detail. If a client reaches out to me to style a certain event that means that event is – personally or professionally – meaningful and important to them. Therefore I want to create a truly memorable experience. Event decoration doesn’t only have to be made up of a couple of flowers in pot on a table, it can be so much more. From event signage to candy bars and cigar bars, guest favors, seating lounges, floral wall and door decorations, floral arches, photo booths and guestbook ideas and so on and so on – all of these elements, small or big, come together to make an event a beautifully styled happening that enchants its guests. Also I try to stay open minded, always. In all those years of blogging I’ve come to see so many beautiful styles, new interesting vibes and classic pretties. So at Festum Artis there will be no such thing as a signature style being done over and over again. Each client is unique and deserves a unique approach to their special moment. That is why one minute I’ll be decorating a classically elegant wedding and the next a vibrantly colored boho get-together.
3. What are the next projects?
I’m extremely excited to be taking part in the wedding fair MariNatal at KUSPO Münchenstein on October 8th and 9th 2016. I’ll be showing some really beautiful wedding inspirations and I’m in full preparation mode at the moment. At the same time I’ll also be selling my vintage jewelry there and displaying some of the wedding invites that I have created. It’s all going to go together beautifully. After that I’ll be decorating a corporate event for a Cosmetic Institute. I’m so eager to create a sumptuous décor that will get people in the mood for some soul-hugging, feel-good pampering!

NUXE FALL NEWS
And now that we have found out more about Carla and her wonderful projects I wanna share some infos with you regarding these new products by NUXE.
ABOUT THE BRAND NUXE
The NUXE brand is the brainchild of Aliza Jabès. Following her strong beliefs in the incredible power of plants, the founding principle for NUXE was to reveal the prodigious nature of plants on the skin. She took an innovative approach in terms of nature (30 patents pending) and developed a cult brand of natural origin which combines performance with pleasure. It is now one of the bestselling brands in French pharmacies today.
NUXE Splendieuse Eye Contour Cream
Is a radiance activating eye cream. It works instantly and over time to diminish the look of dark circles and dark spots under the eyes. It targets dark spots and dark circles to give you the appearance of a brighter, smoother, more rested eye area. Well, that sounds really great. Especially for people with dark eye circles. I guess like with every other cream it needs time to see a result. Regularity is key!
Porcelain Rose, White Crocus and Vitamin C, help to reduce the number and the colour of all types of dark spots (sunlight, ageing, imperfection marks…) and brighten the eye contour area. They promise that the eyes look rested, more luminous and existing dark spots will be reduced. But again, in my opinion, results can (maybe) be seen after 4 weeks or so.
Vitamin C works to reduce under eye circles and pigmentation, while Peptides help boost the skin’s own collagen production and drain pigmentation deposits. Light-reflecting particles brighten the eye area for that rejuvenated, wide-eyed effect!
How to use
Apply on the eye contour in the morning and / or evening. I personally like to use my ring fingers to apply eye cream. Somewhere I have read that by using the ring fingers instead of the index fingers there is less pressure to the sensitive under eye skin. But in the end I guess it does not matter too much with which finger you apply your eye cream. As long as you apply eye cream regularly and the fingers are clean 😉
Composition
Ingredients of natural origin (with Porcelain Rose, White Crocus, stabilised Vitamin C, Star Lily and Cocoa Cells). Specific perfume tailored for the delicate eye contour area. Paraben free.
NUXE FALL NEWS
NUXE Merveillance Expert Fluide Correcting Fluid
Is an anti-ageing treatment for combination skin, which targets excess oil and enlarged pores as well as visible lines and wrinkles. This corrective care contains three key skin proteins which contribute to the youth of the skin: Vimentin, Collagen and Elastin. It contains also Daylily, and Mimosa of Constantinople, plant extracts which target these three proteins in order to fight effectively against the deep wrinkles and the loss of firmness of the skin.
Its light texture plumps and mattifies skin, correcting shine while tightening pores and refining the skin’s texture. Visible lines are smoothed, skin feels firmer and looks lifted and pores are tightened, all without drying skin or increasing oiliness. The ideal solution to rejuvenate combination skin.
How to use
Apply the fluid on the face in the morning. And continue with your normal skin/makeUp routine.
Composition
Contains 91,5% of ingredients of natural origin as the Daylily, and Mimosa of Constantinople.
Aqua/Water, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Water, GLycerin, Rosa Moschata Seed Oil, Dicaprylyl Ether Corylus Avellana (Hazel) Seed Oil, Lauroyl Lysine, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone, Parfum/Fragrance, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract, Arachidyl Alcohol, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Tocopherol, Capryloyl Gkycine, Behenyl Alcohol, Myristyl Alcohol, DImethicone Crosspolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Acrylates C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Arachidyl Glucoside, Dehydroacetic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Gluconate, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Xanthan Gum, Myristyl Glucoside, Benzyl Alcohol, Ammonium Lactate, Hemerocallisfulva Extract, Geranyl Geranylisopropanol, Plankton Extract, Sodium Benzoate.

MOIRAI

Moirai
so I had the chance to meet Jorina at the Theater Basel and she told me about her own label and about MOIRAI. I asked her what that was and asked her if I could show it on the blog. I sent her some questions and are very happy to share this awesome design spot with you.
1. Who is behind it and what do you do?
MOIRAI is created by three women from Basel, each with their own label and area of expertise.
Jorina Weiss – label “Jorina Weiss“, women’s and men’s fashion
Sabrina Kym – label “Kyry’s“, children’s clothes and accessoires
Anne-Sophie Chiarello – label “Chiara Moira“, women’s fashion
Together we run MOIRAI in Basel: our creative space where design, creation, café and shop are one. We also teach sewing classes here and host our own events. The clothes that these three in-house labels sell are all made by our own hands on site. A truly local shopping experience.

2. Where can we find you?
MOIRAI‘s shop is in Basel at Missionsstrasse 66. You can also find us online at www.moirai.ch, and on facebook www.facebook.com/www.moirai.ch
3. How is it for you to be part of the swiss design scene?
We pride ourselves in our local approach to design. If you like one of our designs, we can custom make it for you, change it to your liking or create something entirely new. We think this way of designing will change the way our customers look at clothes, experience and wear them. It is also possible to learn to make the clothes you see or imagine in our classes.

I really hope you liked this post as much as I had fun to write it. Thank you so much for answering my questions. Its my pleasure to show you local design on such a high level. I encourage you to visit MOIRAI and check their social media for events. Maybe a sewing class might be something for you. 🙂 I wish you all a lovely sunny day and lets hope we can all wear our summer clothes for a bit longer. X

ABOUT SYLVAIN BAUMANN

UV 50 MINERAL – what is that?

360 ° – protection for everyday life

yes, thats what we all need. we need to take better care of our skin. I am every year surprised to see so many of my friends with sun burnt skin. and with all the information that is out there I was hoping that everybody understood so far that the flaming ball in the sky that we call sun, can cause some serious damage, in most of the cases irreversible. UV rays and environmental pollutants cause the skin to be irritated. the skin tends to dry out, loses its luminosity and ages a lot faster.

what does the new UV 50 mineral with ection do?
  • against UVA / UVB radiation (without chemical filters )
100 % mineral sunscreen, based on natural micro pigments and any health risk .
  • against environmental pollutants (anti – pollution). the anti-pollution complex with ectoin acts against exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke, ozone and free radicals .
  • against skin aging with help of ectoin. it increases the moisture in the skin and protects the immune system of the skin and the cells and DNA from harmful UVA rays. ectoin reduces the formation of sunburn cells and acts against wrinkles and skin aging.

ectoin:

ectoin acts as a natural DNA and cell protective factor against UV induced skin damage and it supports the immune system of the skin. therefore it is used as an active ingredient in skin care and sun protection. ectoin stabilizes the natural structure of biopolymers such as proteins, nucleic acids and biomembranes. and thats exactly what protects against skin damage from UVA and UVB radiation.
it acts not as a UV filter, but as a cell protection preventive against sun allergies, UV-induced skin aging and light dermatoses. It prevents damage in the epidermis and deeper layers of skin. In combination with an UV filter it has a highly effective cover and protects the skin ‘s immune system.
now we read a lot about the magic ingredient called ectoin. I am always amazed about how far skin researchers came until today. and always love to use products that are without preservatives, dyes and allergenic perfumes.
I was really happy that I got one of the new UV 50 mineral to try, so for all of you that might wonder. yes, this is a sponsored post. 🙂 for a long time I did not need any SPF 50 here in Basel due to the weirdly cold weather in June. but now its the moment to apply it every day and I am so happy that finally the sun is back and that I also have found a great product to protect my skin.
I love the fact that it does not make my face white and that it is being absorbed very fast. as I am wearing my sunscreen underneath my foundation/ tinted day cream I dont want anything greasy or white 🙂 in case you have sensitive skin then this is something for you. I love it and have used it for the last couple of sunny days. my skin has not reacted with any breakout and thats always a very good sign.

uv 50 mineral

with the UV 50 mineral I got 5 bands for a smart way to enjoy the sun. smart sun wristbands measure the amount of sun you are being exposed to during one day. it changes color to let you know when to apply more sunscreen or when to stay out of the sun.
works everywhere. changes color faster in strong sunlight. measures the total amount of sun during an entire day. measures both UVA and UVB radiation. can be used in water, even in saltwater and chlorinated water. should be used from sunup to sundown, both indoors and outdoors. when the wristband turns pink, the risk of burning is high and then avoid the sun completely. one wristband is one-day use only.
yellow = original color (unused)
red = apply more sunscreen
pink = avoid the sun

uv 50 mineral

wow, thats a really smart invention and I can not wait to try these bands in Barcelona. my suitcase is almost packed and like every time it was a challenge to find the right things. stay tuned via my social media channels, there I will keep you up to date during my vacation.
have a lovely summer and dont forget to apply sunscreen, regularly! X

SWITZERLAND
  • Collection
there are 479 permanent and free collection points for bicycles across the country. Every year, an additional 50 collection events are organized.
  • Recycling
thanks to functional recycling of our bikes, 350 tonnes of old metal is saved from the shredder each year.
  • Integration
360 unemployed and physically challenged people refurbish the donated bicycles and prepare them for transport to Africa.
AFRICA
  • Export
in 2015, Velafrica sent 38 shipping containers with 17‘455 donated and reworked bicycles from Switzerland to Africa.
  • Mobility
since 1993 over 140‘000 donated Swiss bikes have found a new owner. On average, four people benefit from the use of a bicycle.
  • Vocational Training & Jobs
by 2015, 106 youth completed an apprenticeship in bicycle mechanics. Bicycle workshops create jobs in repair and sales.

Velafrica has the support of 30 partners across Switzerland. Between Liestal and Brig, Bulle and Chur, a dense network of social enterprises work towards integrational work. in 2015, Velafrica started an export workshop in Liebefeld, Berne as an integrational project for refugees and migrants.
They work with 13 regional partners in Gambia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Tanzania, Madagascar, and Eritrea. This partnership is done with non-profit and selected small businesses. We foster a relationship based on economic collaboration to promote social entrepreneurship.

 “bycicle reduces poverty”
The bicycle is an affordable alternative that spares people from walking. In cellars across Switzerland there are many bicycles that remain unused. In the developing regions of Africa however, cheap forms of transport are scarce. The recycled bicycles from Switzerland improve local access to education, health care and economic opportunities. After research done by Velafrica in Burkina Faso and Tanzania, mobility was found to be the most important factor in overcoming poverty.

I am so happy that I walked into Angela during the ECO festival in Basel and it makes me even happier to share this awesome project with all of you.
