BRASOV – ROMANIA

as you read in my previous post I am currently in Romania where I have spent a lovely Craciun = Christmas in Brasov and am now enjoying some days in Bucharest.

in BRASOV you should definitely visit the old city center with the gorgeous old houses and  the black church and stroll around the streets. BRASOV has the third narrowest street in Europe (told by our cab driver) STRADA SFORII (means rope street and is between 111 and 135 cm wide and about 80 meters long.) brasov brasov

house in brasovold doorI saw so many beautiful houses and when you go a bit outside of the old city center  you will see houses that are abandoned or half done. I find Brasov a very picturesque city and I have to go back and take photos of all the beautiful gates and doors. abandoned housewe started the day with ZOOM SERIE which opened 5 days ago and is famous for their sweets. they have an awesome list of fresh teas and make fresh juice. I can totally recommend the juice with banana, apple and oranges, the SWEET NOVEMBER tea, I hope I remember that tea correctly : ) its the one with hibiscus and berries and their BROWNIES. mmmhhmm! zoom seriewe ate very well at BISTRO DEL ARTE and HOCKEY PUB, in general the food was very delicious. as a vegetarian I was warned that Romania is the country of meat and cheese, two things I don’t like at all. but as I said I could not complain there were vegetarian dishes on the menu. a local vegetarian dish is ZACUSCA 🙂 another place that I really liked is called BISTRO MA COCOTTE. here you can see my BRUSCHETTA and PASTA from the hockey club. pasta Bruschettama cocotte bistromacocotte

this is one of my favorite pieces from SCOPE 2015 I can look at it forever and always see something new. the coolest things about works like this is that you can really zoom into the painting and see even more things.the title fits: NEW SCENERY IN DREAM. yes I can see the new scenery in my pinkish dream.

HOW IS IT DONE?
“his works were created by reapplying white color on top of ground color applied by using acrylic water color and drawing the outline of mountain using air gun filled with water and regular brush while erasing the water color on surface to reveal the ground”

unfortunately it was very hard to find anything about the artist because not even on the KEUMSAN gallery website there is a link or any additional info about his artwork. I have found that quiet common among asian galleries and artist. AND I DONT UNDERSTAND THIS, why?? It should be the job of the gallery to present the artist with all the information regarding him and his works.

the names of the new Fall collection are kicking ass! How did they come up with such creative and funny names! 12 new colors! great job! but not only the names are blowing me away it’s the colors too! the new collection varies between warm brown tones and soft red and radiant purple!

my favorite one is the Can’t aFjörd Not To – that you can see in the photo above. a bright and warm coral orange. I love it!

ESPRIT SHOPPING HAUL

I wanna show you these 3 gorgeous pieces that I have found at ESPRIT store in Basel. Two of them were on SALE! yay! so I was in need of a nice black skirt and guess what I found two which is never surprising for me, as I always tend to find so many must have pieces which makes it super hard for me to decide. but when both of them are on SALE I just go for both! 🙂 the skirt on the left is a black stretch pencilskirt with an opening in the front. This skirt looks better on me when I wear heels somehow the cut makes my legs look very short when I wear it with flats. I would pair it with my favorite silk blouse or a simple white shirt. the black skirt to the right is a very comfy mini skirt with beautiful details on the side. this skirt looks very nice with flats and I am sure that I will wear it many times with my gorgeous flat sandals I have found in Mulhouse. 🙂 and last but not least I got myself this stunning beige pink dress. its magic because you can throw this on and you are good to go! no matter if with heels or flats. for hot days I would just wear it like this and for fall I could see myself wearing it with a trenchcoat or a blazer. aww.. cant wait to wear it and show you my outfits. stay tuned! xx

MACCOSMETICS

m.a.c amazes me all the time! I got the relaunched HEROINE lipstick in the modesuisse goodiebag and I have been enjoying it ever since. I really like the fact that m.a.c often continues to carry special edition products. of course one never knows but so far I was always lucky. the HEROINE is a matte bright purple lipstick. as I have rather chapped lips I can only wear it after exfoliating my lips.

another rather new product that was launched in may 2014 is the STUDIO SCULPT SHADE AND LINE palettes with a huge variety of color combinations. I personally love the INDIGOBLEND but I also like the VIOLETBLEND and APRICOTBLEND that makes my eyes look very green because of the red, orange and pink tones. Its a 3in1 palette with 2 eyeshadows and an eyeliner. all of them can be used either dry or wet. also in may 2014 they have launched the PATENTPOLISH LIP PENCILS in 12 different colors. I am not a huge lipgloss fan because I always end up having my hairs on my lips but with this product it looks like you would be wearing lipgloss because of the amazing shine but the feeling and texture is like a normal lipstick or chapstick. My favorite colors are TEEN DREAM a bright coral orange, HOPELESSLY DEVOTED a super bright clean fuchsia and PLEASANT a very nice rosy pink.

chocolate on my pillow – room service – pajama party – peek a boo, I see you – these are the new CLINIQUE “A Different Nail Enamel” limited edition only avaialble for a short time! I can not tell you which color is my favorite one because I simply love them together the best. Jessy tested them for me and she loves them too and she says they dry very quick!

C&A fashion festival

thank you C&A for this wonderful event. the location – the interior design – the looks – the new collection – everything was great! the dresscode for the event was BOHEMIAN and everyone looked stunning, either wearing lace or crochet, floral prints, long dresses, hats or hairbands!

the catering was fab – tiny soups and burgers, vegipieces, and SWEETS awww.. they were soooo delicious! I had to try at least 3 different kinds and one was better than the one before.

the interior design of the location really brought me into a summer mood. I have never seen such old ANNABELLE magazines and the chairs reminded me of me grandmas camping gear (in a good way) – there were flowers everywhere – it all looked super nice!

Jessy and I had a wonderful night, we met Regine from gine.ch and Stefanie from herfield and thanks to Larissa we found our way back to the main station Zurich HB.

I took photos of the fashionshow and the performance of Zazou Mall – soon I will upload these photos aswell.. I just had issues with the camera and therefore the photos will need to go thru bridge first. stay tuned. xx

ladies, spring is about to be here and Estée Lauder presents some really awesome new products. I was invited to the press lunch in Basel and had the opportunity to get all the products explained and introduced. we all got a booklet with the latest products and a lot of interesting tips!

#1 Sumptuous Infinite daring length and volume Mascara
Some of you may know that I am not a Mascara Fan at all 🙂 I hardly ever use Mascara.. But still I am always craving new things and I am one of these person who loves to try out new things. So of course I gave this Mascara a try and I have to say it does what it promises. It made my lashes look longer and made them dense and I really liked the shape of the brush.

#2 Revitalizing Supreme CC Creme
A new anti-aging CC Creme – which adapts to your skin color and gets slightly tinted. the Cream should be applied as the last step after the moisturizer and inbetween foundation. I wear the CC Creme on Sundays and I just wear it on top of my moisturizer and it makes my skin look very even and it reduces the redness on my cheeks.

#3 ReNutriv Ultimate Contouring Eye lift
I cant wait for summer.. this will be my best friend in summer! The new ReNutriv Eye Lift Creme has an amazing applicator out of ceramic which always stays cool. No matter if you have it in your purse or in your room it stays the same temperature. its like magic! I use it without creme and start from the inner part sliding outwards underneath my eyes, I repeat this 3 times per eye after that I apply the creme with the same move. I have been using it for the last couple of weeks and I really see a difference in my skin around my eyes – YAY!

#4 Pure Color Envy Lipstick
Bright lips, I am so ready for the spring summer colors of 2014.

#5 Modern Muse
Modern Muse – I love the name of the newest Estée Lauder fragrance.
The fragrance has a very elegant and soft note and became one of my favorite fragrances. I wouldnt say its a fresh scent but still it makes me feel very fresh and clean. I took it to London for the fashionweek and whenever I travel short distances with small luggage I limit myself to bring only one parfum and allow myself to buy one in the dutyfree 🙂 so this time I didnt find a suiting parfum on my way to london so this meant I had to use the same parfum everyday for one week 🙂 and I loved it!! on the way back I found something nice, something we dont have in switzerland, but I will tell you in another post. stay tuned. I can highly recommend to visit your local parfum shop and try the Modern Muse fragrance – I am sure you will love it too.

#6 Pure Color Nailpolish
Not only bright lips but also bright nails – the new Pure Color Nailpolishes are really nice. I wore it for several days and it didnt chip. But I also used the top coat from Estée Lauder so I cant tell you if it would chip or not if wearing it without top coat. I will try it and will let you know.
