PCC what is that

Protection Cheveux Complexe, PCC what is that?

Thank you very much to Coiffure Winter for pampering me and making my hair look nice again.
I went to her salon in order to trim my hair and color it back to my natural hair color: dark brown. Since I had several drastic color changes in the last two years, my hair ends are really dry. In order to make my hair look healthy again I wanted to try the new PCC treatment by La Biosthetique. Here is what I found out about it.
PCC what is that
PCC what is that?
Protection Cheveux Complexe is a new dimension in hair cosmetics. A real milestone in research and development from La Biosthétique. The revolutionary active ingredient complex protects, restructures and conditions the hair both inside and outside during and after chemical treatments. The hair structure is lastingly renewed, the hair is conditioned and sealed and regains its natural beauty.
PCC claims to be the new formulation to combat hair breakage. Bleaches, colour and perms all have one thing in common; to achieve lasting results, certain structures in the hair have to be broken. Bleach decomposes the natural hair colour, whilst colour deposits new pigment and Perms change the structure and shape of the hair. The network in which keratin, the hair’s most important building block, is embedded, has often breaks in some parts which make the hair more sensitive and weaker in certain areas.

PCC what is that

PCC’s innovative formulations were created to avoid precisely this side effect. They now make the impossible possible. A concentrated molecular protection complex fills gaps inside the hair’s network, known as sulphur bonds, during the processing time of bleach, colour and perms, and deposits new keratin into these gaps or breaks in the structure.
  • WITHOUT PCC (see photo, hair top)
There can be broken open sulphur bonds (oxidation damage)
Gaps in the hair structure due to reduction of the amount of keratin in the hair
    Rough and damaged hair surface
  • WITH PCC (see photo, hair bottom)
Protection and formation of the sulphur bonds
Keratin in the hair is maintained
The surface of the hair is regenerated and protected
I tried the PCC treatment at Coiffure winter and you can see the ampule in the photo below. I love the way it looks. So precious and delicate. Depending on your hair length and dammage they can use more than one. My hair was so dry, and I really want to emphasize WAS. 🙂

Benjamin Bohm, Hair Care & Color Technician at La Biosthétique says

“La Biosthétique supports the hair’s beauty. That’s why it made total sense for us to develop a system that keeps its promises and has proven results! Just a few steps to healthier hair! Protection Cheveux Complexe is a revolution in hair care. By using highly effective ingredients it is proven to protect the hair from the consequences of chemical treatments.”
The results are proven to significantly reduce hair breakage, much stabler, more resistant hair.
Protection and renewal of the molecular hair structure from within, 20 % more softness and
healthy and naturally beautiful hair.

HOW TO USE PCC?
Protection Cheveux Complexe, PCC,  is performed in three steps.
Complexe 1: Concentrate is added during the chemical treatment to restructure and protect the hair.
Complexe 2: After the chemical treatment there is a restructuring and protective conditioning application with Complexe 2 Spray + Mask Intense.
Complexe 3: Continue the protection and care at home. Regular home application of Spray and Mask Vital/ Volume after the salon treatment ensures the results of Protection Cheveux Complexe last a long time. It guarantees exquisite shine, strong elasticity and sleek body.

PCC what is that

I can assure you, this thing really works. Oh wow, the results after one treatment are very visible and made a huge change to my very dry hair before. I will def go back and get another PCC done. For the people in  Basel get in touch with Coiffure Winter. www.coiffure-winter.ch

NEW HAIR

new hair
thats what I had in mind when I visited COIFFURE WINTER to change my hair color. and since my hair looked rather dark compared to the desired light grey we had a lot of work ahead.

before
so as you can see the ends of my hair are a lot lighter than my natural dark colored roots. and somehow I wanna keep the roots dark and lighten up the ends in order to get this nice silver grey look.
new hair new hair

lets start the process
in order to cover my natural grey hair we also had to dye my roots. so we had dark brown on my roots and tone lotion to lighten up my hair on my ends.

after new color

new hair

so this is the final result and it really makes a big difference in what kind of light you are as the light in the salon and the light at home are very different and so are the shades of grey on my hair. I love the grey but I have to say it is something that does not last too long in my hair. I use special silver shampoo and I also use a cream dye to keep the silver and try to only wash my hair twice a week and then only with rather cold or luke warm water.

THE BIG CHANGE

Gülten was one of the brave people that were up for a BIG CHANGE that was requested by Coiffure Winter. like this we want to show you the diversity of Stefanie Winter’s coiffure salon. there are so many ways to achieve a great change and we found three looks for three ladies. Coiffure Winter was responsible for the hair and makeUp / Claudia Link she took the final THE BIG CHANGE photos (click here to see all of them) and I was responsible for the styling and the documentation of the project. lets have a look at GÜLTEN’s change:

we indeed had to cut some hair for the change but it will be absolutely worth it –

watching other people change is something really nice, especially when you like to document things. hands down, I already have my favorite but I wanna show you some photos of the other two ladies before I reveal my favorite.

I got a fancy up-do!

thank you Stefanie Winter for making this fancy up-do – I felt like a princess – the whole day! I tried to shoot a step by step guide but I didnt end up with a smooth series of steps so I decided not to post them. BUT Stefanie also took some photos and I will see if I can use hers to make something nice, we will see.

so let me ramble a bit about hair. do you wear your hair up or down, a pony tail or a bun? there are so many different ways to wear your hair up and I am often very inspired by watching youtube tutorials. I was more than happy to have such a PRO at work because working on the back of ones head is not easy to manage especially when it shouldnt look like a messy bun. 🙂 I usually wear my hair down and if not I have an either sleek or messy bun. so this was a firsty for me. although I used to wear my hair clipped up in the 90s but in a very very different way and I would not feel comfortable to wear this look ever again.. I dunno if my old friend Julie is reading my blog – she would know exactly what I am talking about 🙂 wearing my hair up in such a professional way was a really nice experience and it totally made me wear my favorite dress – too bad it was minus temperatures that very day so I couldnt show you my full outfit – all you can see is my gorgeous hair and my lovely super old ZARA coat.

what do you need?

loads of bobby pins
hair spray
a comb
a brush
a flat iron

straighten your hair with the flat iron
use the flat iron to make curls (tutorial here «)
section your hair in two parts – front and back
split the back part in two even sections
clip one part to the opposite side and secure with bobby pins
use the other part and roll it in to cover the other side secure with bobby pins from top and bottom and try to have a nice smooth surface. use hairspray!
take the front part and separate the bangs
split the front part into smaller sections and roll them back, secure with bobby pins and use hairspray to cover any flying hairs. thats it!

I am again sorry that I can not show you a step by step tutorial but I am already working on my next hair tutorial and there I will really have a step by step guide. stay tuned. xx

I DID IT – BOTOX!

for the hair not that you start to think I would do such thing I dont intend to at all – BOTOX for the hair is something completely different it renoutrishes and moisturizes the hair. Stefanie Winter uses the NIKA botox treatment and I was quiet shocked when I saw her with the needle BUT she only uses this to get the product out of its container. she then mixed it with lukewarm water. but first she washed my hair with a preparing, opening shampoo and then started applying the BOTOX from roots to ends in a layering technique. once she did my complete head she wrapped me in plastic foil and let me stay under the hood dryer for thirty minutes. then she rinsed my hair with cold water and that was it – next step: blowdrying and styling.

so, wait a second, what is BOTOX for the hair? it is a keratin and protein based treatment for all hair types but especially for dry, frizzy, brittle and chemicaly treated hair. the only exception is for curly hair: it will really soften down your curls but other than that it also nourrishes the often rather dry curly hair. the BOTOX treatment will make your hair thicker, stronger, repaired, soft and it will eliminate split ends – YAY!

I really benefited from this BOTOX treatment and I would totally do it again although it lasts over a month! since the treatment it feels a lot easier to blow dry my hair as my hair has more grip and shine. for the BASEL people: go and visit her salon behind Aeschenplatz and check out her amazing skills. there is not only Stefanie, there is a team behind her: Oli & Océan (apprentice) and Helena. Stefanie offers many other nice things such as a ayurvedic scalp massage with different oils for the different hair types.
