SKIN CARE UPDATE

SKIN CARE UPDATE
Life is constantly changing and so are also some of the products we use. I have recently completely changed my daily skin care and wanna share all these changes with you. I am now using AESOP products. Not only the design of the products but furthermore the benefits of each product has made me super happy. Now lets see what I have found out about all the products I am currently using and see what I personally think. Lets start with my SKIN CARE UPDATE:
Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Oil

SKIN CARE UPDATE

According to the website this is a mild, makeup-removing cleanser suited to dry, combination or sensitive skin. It is a gentle, preservative-free cleansing oil that will rinse skin of even the heaviest makeup in addition to imparting bountiful anti-oxidant benefits. The skin is left thoroughly purified, softened and refreshed.
How to apply the product?
Pour a couple of drops into your clean, damp hands and mix it with several drops of water to form a milky emulsion. Massage over face and neck  and then rinse.
Ingredients
Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, C12-13 Pareth-3, Tocopherol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Bisabolol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Ormenis Multicaulis Oil, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Oil, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Carum Petroselinum (Parsley) Seed Oil, Beta-Carotene, Linalool. Contains nut oils.
The Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Oil has a nutty aroma and lets your skin feel supple, softened and hydrated. I use it every night and it removes all of my makeup. I am not wearing heavy leayers of makeup. Usually I wear a tinted moisturizer, bronzing powder, mascara and lipstick. The only negative thing I can say about this cleanser is that it stains the sink after every use. Somehow it leaves a very weird and oily residue. So after every use I have to wipe the sink. As I have my cleansing tools right below the sink this is an easy thing to do. And in the end its totally worth it, as I really love the way the Parsley Seed Facial Oil leaves my skin.
 B & Tea Balancing Toner
SKIN CARE UPDATE
This is a gentle, everyday toner suited to all skin types, including sensitive. Yay, as my skin is quiet sensitive I was happy to read that. It is a gentle skin-balancing blend, named for its inclusion of Provitamin B5 (a form of Panthenol) and Green Tea extract. The toner offers light hydration and anti-oxidant protection. It leaves the pores refined while the skin is cleansed of any remaining grime and gently prepared for subsequent hydration.
How to apply the product?
Use half a teaspoon of B & Tea Balancing Toner onto a cotton pad or directly into your hands, and pat onto skin. In order to make our world a better place I have stopped using cotton pads on a daily base. Thats why I love to use the toner directly in my hands.

Ingredients
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Water (Aqua), Polysorbate 80, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Sodium Gluconate, Sodium Lactate, Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbitol, Panthenol, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Citrate, Benzoic Acid, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Benzalkonium Chloride, Dehydroacetic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Geraniol, Farnesol, Benzyl Salicylate, Eugenol, d-Limonene.
The B& Tea Balancing Toner has a floral and herbaceous aroma. The texture is watery and it leaves the skin feel balanced and freshened. I am not sure if I will be repurchasing that particular toner. I might switch to an alcohol free Aesop toner because I have the feeling that this would be more suiting for me. Nevertheless I like to use this toner and am already half way through. So anyway it will be the product that I have to repurchase first.
Damascan Rose Facial Treatment

SKIN CARE UPDATE

The Damascan Rose Facial Treatment is a  precious and potent nourishing treatment for extremely dry or distressed skin. It is an exquisite treat not only for the skin but also for the senses, due to its wonderful rosy scent. This concentrated botanical oil is ideal for skin in need of intense, soothing hydration. It consists of ten precious and potent plant extracts who deliver Vitamins E and A.
How to apply the product?
Massage three to five drops onto cleansed and toned skin from forehead to neck. What I love to do is to blend the oil with my hydrating cream. Some days I also use it by itself when I am in need of some extra hydration.

Ingredients
Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Tocopherol, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Oil, Viola Odorata Oil, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Beta-Carotene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, d-Limonene, Farnesol, Eugenol. Contains nut oils.
The Damascan Rose Facial Treatment has a floral, earthy and slightly exotic aroma. The product texture is rich and oily. It leaves the skin feel hydrated, replenished and nourished. As I have already mentioned I love using this oily either by itself or mixed with my moisturizer. What I love about it is that the oil is being absorbed super fast. So on days where my skin feels extra dry I can even use the treatment during the day. Be sure to wear a high SPF, not only when wearing oily treatments. In spring and summer I am using a high SPF (30 or 50) and in fall and winter the SPF 25 that I have in my tinted moisturizer is enough for me.
Camellia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream

SKIN CARE UPDATE

The Camelia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream is a nourishing daily moisturizer for dry or sensitive skin. According to the AESOP website: the complex blend of nut and plant extracts in this extensively researched formulation absorbs swiftly. Providing anti-oxidant fortification and richly nourishing hydration without a weighty after-feel. Superbly emollient cold-pressed Macadamia Nut oil softens the skin, while Camellia Nut oil and Chamomile oil pacify irritation and patchiness.
How to apply the product?
Massage into cleansed and toned skin. I personally dont like to massage creams. I rather pad and press the creams on to my skin. Massaging makes my skin red and since I am already dealing with a more pinkish complexion I want to make sure to avoid looking even more red.
Ingredients
Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Ceteareth-20, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Tocopherol, Fusanus Spicatus Wood Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Ormenis Multicaulis Oil, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Citrate, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Beta-Carotene, Farnesol, Linalool, d-Limonene. Contains nut oils.
The Camelia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream has a floral, nutty and woody aroma. It is a medium-weight cream that leaves the skin hydrated and matte. I am not sure whether I will be continuing to use this cream. I dont like the fact that it contains alcohol and want to check if they have one without alcohol that is good for dry to sensitive skin. Nevertheless I am using this cream day and night, and sometimes with a couple of drops of the Damascan Rose Oil. I am already more than half way thru. So after the toner this will be the next product to repurchase.
 Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste

SKIN CARE UPDATE

So what I have found via the website is that it is a cream-based exfoliating formula suited to most skin types. Fine river-bed Quartz contained in a cream base performs exceptional exfoliation, sloughing away tired surface skin. Lactic Acid assists a mild, chemical exfoliation resulting in thoroughly purified, revived skin.
How to apply the product?
Dispense a small amount into the palm of your hand and work the formula over the face and neck, including the lips. Avoid the immediate eye area. Allow the Quartz and Lactic Acid to gently exfoliate by employing minimal pressure. Rinse well with luke warm water and pat dry.
Ingredients
Water (Aqua), Quartz, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Cetearyl Alcohol, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Ceteareth-20, Glycerin, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Lactic Acid, Coconut Alcohol, Ormenis Multicaulis Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hydroxide, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Disodium EDTA, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Linalool, d-Limonene.
The Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste has an active, earthy lavender aroma. The skin feels polished, exfoliated and softened. I absolutely love this exfoliating paste. Eventhough I have very sensitive skin with couperose parts on my cheeks I enjoy using it. Of course I avoid the cheek areas and focus on my chin, forhead and nose. The cool thing is that this product is going to last for a while as you should only apply it once a week and need very little product.
Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque
SKIN CARE UPDATE
This is a wonderful product, I seriously love it. Its a clay-based masque to deeply cleanse and refresh your skin and it is suitable to all skin types. The blend of premium clays and botanicals lifts deep-seated impurities and refreshes the skin. Parsley Seed extracts deliver potent anti-oxidants while other botanical elements cleanse and revive skin.
How to apply the product?
Use after cleansing and apply a thin layer over skin, excluding eye and lip areas. Leave to dry for about fifteen minutes, or longer if time permits, and then rinse thoroughly with cool water and pat dry.
Ingredients
Water (Aqua), Kaolin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Bentonite, Alcohol Denat., Glycerin, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Ormenis Multicaulis Oil, Carum Petroselinum (Parsley) Seed Oil, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Linalool.
The Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque has a lavendery, herbaceous aroma. The texture is fine, and contains smooth Clay Oils. It leaves the skin deeply cleansed, softened and refreshed.

SKIN CARE UPDATE

Out of all the AESOP products I really like this one the best. I can really see a difference in what it does to my skin. At the very moment I am dealing with impurities and regularely using this masque helps me a lot.  The only thing that worries me a bit is that almost all their procucts contain alcohol. I was told that when you have sensitive skin you should avoid using products that contain alcohol. I would be curious to hear your opinion about alcohol content in skin care. Please comment below. Also I would love to know which is your favorite AESOP product. Maybe there is something you can recommend that I have not tried yet.

DermatoCLEAN TONIC and EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

DermatoCLEAN TONIC and EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

DermatoCLEAN TONIC and EYE MAKEUP REMOVER
I got asked to check out some Eucerin products and chose to explore the benefits and purposes of the DermatoCLEAN tonic and eye makeup remover. I have only heard great things about the Eucerin but have so far never used any of their products. Now lets see what I have found out about the tonic and eye makeup remover.

DermatoCLEAN TONIC and EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

DermatoCLEAN TONIC
It claims to gently remove all cleanser traces and lets the skin breathe more easily. Furthermore it has been tested on sensitive skin. This is a big PLUS. So many people have sensitive skin, including me. And therefore it is always great to hear that a product has been tested for exactly this kind of skin type.
The main reason to use a tonic after cleansing ones face is to prepare the skin better for regeneration and the following serums and or creams. The skin feels noticeably clean and soothed and clearly delicate and supple. I have loved their tonic and was surprised to read that it is for all skin types, eventhough it was tested for sensitive skin. Another great thing is that the tonic contains no alcohol. The biggest results and benefits of using a tonic are to let the skin breathe. By daily using a tonic before moisturizing the oxygen uptake improves significantly. And therefore the skin moisture improves too.
In case you have never used a tonic before, here is how you would use it.
Apply to a cotton pad and wipe gently over the face, neck and décolleté to prepare the skin optimally for the absorption of the next active ingredients. In my case I stopped using cotton pads and am using the JEMAKO pads instead. Like this I produce less trash and do something for a better place to live on. I can highly recommend them to you.

DermatoCLEAN TONIC and EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

I have read that Eucerin has performed scientific tests and conducted controlled application studies with participants between the ages of 18 and 75.
Now here is a list of the ingredients. I love the fact that they are listed on their website and also very nicely described here >>
  • Aqua
  • Dipropylene Glycol
  • Glyceryl Glucoside
  • Glycerin
  • Sodium Hyaluronate
  • Decyl Glucoside
  • Sodium Citrate
  • Citric Acid
  • Cocamidopropyl Betaine
  • Trisodium EDTA
  • Sodium Chloride
  • 1,2-Hexanediol
  • Phenoxyethanol

DermatoCLEAN TONIC and EYE MAKEUP REMOVER
DermatoCLEAN EYE MAKEUP REMOVER
It claims to remove gently and thoroughly ones eye make-up and water-resistant mascara. Especially with summer ahead, a lot of women are using waterproof mascaras and are in need for a good and gentle remover. A non-greasy, two-phase formula comprising: an upper layer for removing water-proof make-up and a lower layer for removing water-soluble make-up. By shaking it the two phases are getting activated and are ready to be used.
Eyes are the windows to our souls. I love that saying and totally agree. We can see if someone is tired or sad by looking into their eyes. Also one can tell if someone is taking good care of their skin. The eye area has super sensitive skin and it is very important to be very gentle. Like the tonic also the eye makeup remover has been tested on sensitive skin. And aswell it claims to be for all skin types. I was very happy to read that they have conducted controlled application studies with participants aged 18 to 75 who had partially sensitive skin.
I guess its clear to everyone how to use eyemakeup remover, but one never knows. So here we go: Shake well to mix the two phases. Apply to a cotton pad. Gently wipe from the inside outwards over the eye area until no remover is left on the cotton pad.
  • Aqua
  • Isododecane
  • Cyclomethicone
  • Isopropyl Palmitate
  • Glycerin
  • Glyceryl Glucoside
  • Sodium Hyaluronate
  • Sodium Chloride
  • Menthoxypropanediol
  • Trisodium EDTA
  • Phenoxyethanol
  • Behenyl Alcohol
  • CI 61565
I hope you have found this blogpost interesting. In case you have a favorite product by Eucerin, please share it with all of us in the comments. Have a lovely day. X

turn digital photos into something haptic

Have you ever felt the need to turn your digital photos into something haptic?
Or are you about to host a party and are in need of some cool flyers? I recently was thinking about making a photo album with all my photos from the blog. In the past I made some books with my outfits of the year and that was a big success. There are so many online tools to create the album of your dreams.
turn digital photos into something haptic >>

turn didgital photos into something haptic

I got asked to check out color photo service by CEWE and had a look at it. Indeed it is a great way to make photo albums, postcards and special invitations. The tool is very simple. You download the software and choose the folder with the photos that you want to use. I made a simple test to create a postcard with my collar necklaces. As I have my own collar necklace collection I figured it would not hurt to make some cool postcards to feature them a bit more. It is so easy to turn something digital into something haptic.

turn didgital photos into something haptic

I know so many people that made photo albums and all of them are super happy with the result. As I have mentioned before I wanted to make a book about my blog. But making a book about all my blogposts would be quiet a challenge and would end up in a 1000 page album that nobody wants to see. So the key part of making an album is selecting the right photos. What should it be about. Should I only show my travel photos or do I want to focus on winter outfits from the last couple of years. Or should it be all about makeup trends and news? There are many ways.

I figured I will start with postcards and take it from there. The software is set up very easy. On the left you have the folders with your photos and on the top you can choose the fonts and layout options. In the middle there is your preview. First you choose a layout. There are many templates to choose from but you can also create your own. I went for the second option and designed my own layout. Have a look, do you like what I made? I am super happy with the results and can not wait for my order to arrive.

SIMPLE BODY SCRUB DIY

SIMPLE BODY SCRUB DIY

SIMPLE BODY SCRUB DIY

Today I wanna share a very simple body scrub DIY with all of you. Something that is done super easy and can be changed in many ways. Now lets see what you need inorder to make these body scrubs. I made two different scrubs, one with coffee and one with lemons and oranges.
things you need
coffee
salt
sea salt
coconut oil
lemons
oranges
grater
mason jars

SIMPLE BODY SCRUB DIY

step one:
In this DIY I show you how I made the coffee body scrub. Take some coffee grounds and mix it with 2 tabelspoons of coconut oil. In case your coffee grounds is still warm then you dont have to heat the coconut oil, if not I would suggest to heat it up a bit.

SIMPLE BODY SCRUB DIY
SIMPLE BODY SCRUB DIY

step two:
Add three tablespoons of normal table salt and six tablespoon of sea salt. Mix everything. And that was it. Super easy and simple. It only takes three steps and it is a great way to recycle coffee grounds.
How to make the orange and lemon body scrub:
For the lemon and orange body scrub you start with the normal and sea salt. Then you grate the peel of a lemon and orange. Squeeze the juice of the lemon and orange and mix it with the salt. Then add the coconut oil and mix everything. Again, thats all I did for this second scrub.
SIMPLE BODY SCRUB DIY
I use the scrubs two to three times a week after washing my body. The most amazing thing about these scrubs is, that you dont have to use any body lotion. The coconut oil totally does that job. The scrubs leave your skin super soft and especially in winter our skin can need some extra pampering.
I made these scrubs so many times and I love how simple it is. There are many ways to change them. Instead of coconut oil one could add massage oils or any other scented oils. Or you could add some fresh vanilla to the coffee scrub in order to make it a tad sweeter. The best parts about these scrubs are that you dont end up with any plastic trash and you save lots of money. Coconut oil, salt, lemons and oranges are quiet affordable and easy to find. So I would love to hear from you. Did you make any scrubs? If so, what did you use?

FALL WINTER LOOK INSPIRATION

FALL WINTER LOOK INSPIRATION

aww, I found so many wonderful pieces at C&A and want to share with you some stylish and versatile outfits. As the title mentions, FALL WINTER LOOK INSPIRATION, I want to inspire you to wear some of your pieces that you might have already have in your closet in a different way.
The first look is very basic but a rather chic look. I somehow always feel a bit more chic when wearing a black/white look. But maybe thats just me. 🙂 Anyhow, I put together a white ribbed 3/4 sleeve shirt with an oversized black lace detail tank top and wear it with blue skinny jeans and a black/beige clutch. To make the look more casual one can wear sneakers. The look can be easily changed by wearing heels or like in my case below to wear small black heels, that make it all a bit more elegant.

The color combo of that look is so totally me. I love the mix of denim, green and yellow. Also in that case you can easily switch the shoes and make the look a bit more everyday.

Last but not least I am showing you a look that I have already featured on the blog before. The article was called: “How to wear a Summer Dress in Fall” read more here >> I am still so much in love with this kind of layering look. As it is no longer fall and we have moved into winter I am adding some thick tights and would switch the flat shoes with warm boots and finish the look with a warm coat or wear a big scarf.

PCC what is that

Protection Cheveux Complexe, PCC what is that?

Thank you very much to Coiffure Winter for pampering me and making my hair look nice again.
I went to her salon in order to trim my hair and color it back to my natural hair color: dark brown. Since I had several drastic color changes in the last two years, my hair ends are really dry. In order to make my hair look healthy again I wanted to try the new PCC treatment by La Biosthetique. Here is what I found out about it.
PCC what is that
PCC what is that?
Protection Cheveux Complexe is a new dimension in hair cosmetics. A real milestone in research and development from La Biosthétique. The revolutionary active ingredient complex protects, restructures and conditions the hair both inside and outside during and after chemical treatments. The hair structure is lastingly renewed, the hair is conditioned and sealed and regains its natural beauty.
PCC claims to be the new formulation to combat hair breakage. Bleaches, colour and perms all have one thing in common; to achieve lasting results, certain structures in the hair have to be broken. Bleach decomposes the natural hair colour, whilst colour deposits new pigment and Perms change the structure and shape of the hair. The network in which keratin, the hair’s most important building block, is embedded, has often breaks in some parts which make the hair more sensitive and weaker in certain areas.

PCC what is that

PCC’s innovative formulations were created to avoid precisely this side effect. They now make the impossible possible. A concentrated molecular protection complex fills gaps inside the hair’s network, known as sulphur bonds, during the processing time of bleach, colour and perms, and deposits new keratin into these gaps or breaks in the structure.
  • WITHOUT PCC (see photo, hair top)
There can be broken open sulphur bonds (oxidation damage)
Gaps in the hair structure due to reduction of the amount of keratin in the hair
    Rough and damaged hair surface
  • WITH PCC (see photo, hair bottom)
Protection and formation of the sulphur bonds
Keratin in the hair is maintained
The surface of the hair is regenerated and protected
I tried the PCC treatment at Coiffure winter and you can see the ampule in the photo below. I love the way it looks. So precious and delicate. Depending on your hair length and dammage they can use more than one. My hair was so dry, and I really want to emphasize WAS. 🙂
PCC what is that
Benjamin Bohm, Hair Care & Color Technician at La Biosthétique says

“La Biosthétique supports the hair’s beauty. That’s why it made total sense for us to develop a system that keeps its promises and has proven results! Just a few steps to healthier hair! Protection Cheveux Complexe is a revolution in hair care. By using highly effective ingredients it is proven to protect the hair from the consequences of chemical treatments.”
The results are proven to significantly reduce hair breakage, much stabler, more resistant hair.
Protection and renewal of the molecular hair structure from within, 20 % more softness and
healthy and naturally beautiful hair.

PCC what is that

HOW TO USE PCC?
Protection Cheveux Complexe, PCC,  is performed in three steps.
Complexe 1: Concentrate is added during the chemical treatment to restructure and protect the hair.
Complexe 2: After the chemical treatment there is a restructuring and protective conditioning application with Complexe 2 Spray + Mask Intense.
Complexe 3: Continue the protection and care at home. Regular home application of Spray and Mask Vital/ Volume after the salon treatment ensures the results of Protection Cheveux Complexe last a long time. It guarantees exquisite shine, strong elasticity and sleek body.

PCC what is that

I can assure you, this thing really works. Oh wow, the results after one treatment are very visible and made a huge change to my very dry hair before. I will def go back and get another PCC done. For the people in  Basel get in touch with Coiffure Winter. www.coiffure-winter.ch

uv 50 mineral

UV 50 MINERAL – what is that?

360 ° – protection for everyday life

yes, thats what we all need. we need to take better care of our skin. I am every year surprised to see so many of my friends with sun burnt skin. and with all the information that is out there I was hoping that everybody understood so far that the flaming ball in the sky that we call sun, can cause some serious damage, in most of the cases irreversible. UV rays and environmental pollutants cause the skin to be irritated. the skin tends to dry out, loses its luminosity and ages a lot faster.

uv 50 mineral

what does the new UV 50 mineral with ection do?
  • against UVA / UVB radiation (without chemical filters )
100 % mineral sunscreen, based on natural micro pigments and any health risk .
  • against environmental pollutants (anti – pollution). the anti-pollution complex with ectoin acts against exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke, ozone and free radicals .
  • against skin aging with help of ectoin. it increases the moisture in the skin and protects the immune system of the skin and the cells and DNA from harmful UVA rays. ectoin reduces the formation of sunburn cells and acts against wrinkles and skin aging.

uv 50 mineral

ectoin:

ectoin acts as a natural DNA and cell protective factor against UV induced skin damage and it supports the immune system of the skin. therefore it is used as an active ingredient in skin care and sun protection. ectoin stabilizes the natural structure of biopolymers such as proteins, nucleic acids and biomembranes. and thats exactly what protects against skin damage from UVA and UVB radiation.
it acts not as a UV filter, but as a cell protection preventive against sun allergies, UV-induced skin aging and light dermatoses. It prevents damage in the epidermis and deeper layers of skin. In combination with an UV filter it has a highly effective cover and protects the skin ‘s immune system.
now we read a lot about the magic ingredient called ectoin. I am always amazed about how far skin researchers came until today. and always love to use products that are without preservatives, dyes and allergenic perfumes.
I was really happy that I got one of the new UV 50 mineral to try, so for all of you that might wonder. yes, this is a sponsored post. 🙂 for a long time I did not need any SPF 50 here in Basel due to the weirdly cold weather in June. but now its the moment to apply it every day and I am so happy that finally the sun is back and that I also have found a great product to protect my skin.
I love the fact that it does not make my face white and that it is being absorbed very fast. as I am wearing my sunscreen underneath my foundation/ tinted day cream I dont want anything greasy or white 🙂 in case you have sensitive skin then this is something for you. I love it and have used it for the last couple of sunny days. my skin has not reacted with any breakout and thats always a very good sign.

uv 50 mineral

with the UV 50 mineral I got 5 bands for a smart way to enjoy the sun. smart sun wristbands measure the amount of sun you are being exposed to during one day. it changes color to let you know when to apply more sunscreen or when to stay out of the sun.
works everywhere. changes color faster in strong sunlight. measures the total amount of sun during an entire day. measures both UVA and UVB radiation. can be used in water, even in saltwater and chlorinated water. should be used from sunup to sundown, both indoors and outdoors. when the wristband turns pink, the risk of burning is high and then avoid the sun completely. one wristband is one-day use only.
yellow = original color (unused)
red = apply more sunscreen
pink = avoid the sun

uv 50 mineral

wow, thats a really smart invention and I can not wait to try these bands in Barcelona. my suitcase is almost packed and like every time it was a challenge to find the right things. stay tuned via my social media channels, there I will keep you up to date during my vacation.
have a lovely summer and dont forget to apply sunscreen, regularly! X

Basel Tips

MY BASEL TIPS

I live in Basel and therefore I am a local who can give you lots of tips about Basel. especially during the Art Basel week we tend to have long days and long nights and then its very nice to treat oneself with something nice. so, when I have a rough day or my feet hurt from being on them all day long I like to get myself a footmassage or a pedicure, depending on my time schedule. I can absolutely recommend Ramona Gysi and her salon RG Cosmetic & Massage.

Basel Tips

I had the pleasure to get a foot reflexzone massage the other day and it was such a relaxing experience. by massaging the feet the whole body is affected and therefor it feels like a full body massage.

in case you need a hair cut I can also recommend a very nice salon called WINTER COIFFURE its located behind AESCHENPLATZ at Lange Gasse 28. Stefanie Winter is cutting my hair for a very long time and I blogged about my experiences several times before.
