MY WORK SPACE

yay, I got a new lovely mouse via Logitech. thanks so much!  FRANCESCA

the fox is called FRANCESCA and is part of the new playcollection‬ logitechM238 and I was thinking of calling her ERICA. somehow I think this name suits the fox better 🙂 anyway, I have been working with this sweet bugger for the last couple of weeks and I really like it! another nice thing is the price: 29.90 CHF which really is a bargain plus it makes me happy to see a little fox instead of my grey mac mouse. now what else is on my desk besides the iMac and the mouse?

< ACCEPT what is, let go of what was and have FAITH in what will be >
thats what it says on my rituals candle and I absolutely love the message. it is so true but not always easy to accept what is. I struggle with that but I have to say that I feel a lot better since 2013 and that almost every day that has passed since then was a good day! when I work at my desk for my blog from at home I want to feel good and thats when the flowers come in. I love flowers and I try to spoil myself every week with new ones. this week I chose pink roses and put them in the old vase I have found at the fleamarket. another important thing on my desk is my agenda, I am still oldschool when it comes to scheduling my time : ) the cutest thing next to the little fox is the white clock that I also found at the fleamarket it is a mechanical one with no batteries and makes quiet some noise but like with almost everything one gets used to it after a while..

BB CC EE

I gave some of them a try but I also have two new ones to try. there is a new NIVEA BB cream 5 in 1 and a new CC pore perfectioner cream by OLAZ! I can absolutely compare these buggers witht the creams from ESTÉE LAUDER, CLARINS and MARIONNAUD. give me some time and you will sure find out more about it in the future as I need to try them first.

at MANOR Basel the BB Cream is already on SALE – I saw that last week and I hope that deal is still up. 9.05 CHF instead of 12.95 CHF 🙂

now let me answer some questions:

#whats my favorite meal? what kind of food do you eat?
I love lunch and dinner and I am not really a breakfast person and I love to experiment different styles of cooking. I love indian food and of course italian food. I dont eat meat because I dont like it (I never ate meat as I already disliked it – meaning was spitting it out – when I was a baby) and I am also not that big of a cheese fan – hahaha, I know a swiss that doesnt like cheese, does such thing really exist? well, doh!

#whats my favorite lipstick at the moment?
aaw, thats a tough one but I have to say it would be M.A.C GOOD KISSER because it brings me in a spring mood!

#what book are you reading?
THE ART OF THINKING CLEARLY by ROLF DOBELLI is next to my bed and is waiting to be continued – but in fact I will try to find some time to read tonight!

#how long does it take you to get ready?
well, when I am in a hurry I can be done in five to ten minutes and when I have enough time it can take me fifteen to twenty minutes. I made my first get ready with me video today click >> here to watch it – it took me eighteen minutes and I was also rambling about stuff 🙂

DO IT YOURSELF advent calendar

today is december first and I am actually very late with showing you this post as all the advent calendars start today 🙂 anyway I felt the urge to share my idea with you – maybe for next year. who knows!

what do you need?

scissors
silver pen
black pen
white paper / one thicker paper for template
black envelopes and cards
black pegs (mini)
24 ideas*

*some ideas

you could write 24 reasons why you love someone – you could give 24 vouchers to someone – you could remember 24 events with someone and re-capture them – you could draw 24 nice things – as you see I could go on and on and on with ideas. and let me tell you – the advent season is not about spending lots of money it is about caring for others and sharing love. so I saw many nice DIY advent calendars that involved buying 24 items and I think you can also make someone happy with words and only spending a little. I found all my things at Manor in basel and I have spent 13 CHF 🙂

step one
draw a christmas tree on a thicker piece of paper and use this as a template. copy the shape to the white paper and cut 24 trees.

step two
write 24 ideas on the black cards using a silver pen

step three
mark the numbers 1 to 24 on the white christmas trees with a black pen

step four
glue the christmas trees to the black envelopes

step five

hang a black cord to a wall and place the cards with the pegs

THAT’S IT! as easy as ABC or 123, right?
happy advent season. xx
