these are the new colors of SALLY HANSEN that I have tried out and I really love them. I love the fact that their nail polishes have wide brushes for an almost one stroke apply (I have small nails) and this makes your manicure so much easier. another fact that I like about SALLY HANSEN is that they are specialized in nailpolishes only and that their polishes last, even the SALON MANICURE lasts at least a week without chipping. a week of using my hands, washing them, cleaning and just doing every day things and my nailpolish stays put. of course I can not compare them to the real GEL nailpolishes where you need a lamp.

so let me put it like that. If you are a person that is aware of the chemicals in nail polishes then I think you might like KURE BAZAAR (4free) a lot better but this said their polishes dont last as long on my nails. if you are a person with the urge to change your nail color frequently then SALLY HANSEN is totally your thing as you can easily remove and apply their polishes, without a lamp, and they last a good week or longer. so if you are a very busy person that has very little time but feels the need to have a nice and proper manicure then the GEL nailpolishes, that you use with a lamp and are instantly dry afterwards, are the perfect thing for you! that was it from today. have a lovely day. NEW HAIR

thats what I had in mind when I visited COIFFURE WINTER to change my hair color. and since my hair looked rather dark compared to the desired light grey we had a lot of work ahead.

so as you can see the ends of my hair are a lot lighter than my natural dark colored roots. and somehow I wanna keep the roots dark and lighten up the ends in order to get this nice silver grey look.

lets start the process
in order to cover my natural grey hair we also had to dye my roots. so we had dark brown on my roots and tone lotion to lighten up my hair on my ends.

so this is the final result and it really makes a big difference in what kind of light you are as the light in the salon and the light at home are very different and so are the shades of grey on my hair. I love the grey but I have to say it is something that does not last too long in my hair. I use special silver shampoo and I also use a cream dye to keep the silver and try to only wash my hair twice a week and then only with rather cold or luke warm water.

wow – what a beautiful collaboration between Pierre Hermé and L’Occitane, I absolutely love the packaging! some of you might wonder who is Pierre Hermé ? he is a very well known French pastry chef that is most famous for his macarons, many of which have unusual flavor combinations. I can absolutely see his signature in the packaging of the fragrances.

I need some deep moisturizing hair treatments for my rather damaged dyed hair. there are three new oils and each of them has a very specific purpose. I started using the one for colored hair and thats also so far the only one I have tested out of the three. so lets start with the one for dyed hair.

so now I have shared all the information that I found and I have to say that I really like the one for color treated hair. it nourishes my dry ends and makes my hair look healthy and shiny. so this one I can def recommend. lets see what I think about the other oils, I might ask a friend to test one of them as I still have the REDKEN hair diamond oil and the perfumed oil by Kérastase from the chronologiste collection.

I am a huge red lover and was nicely surprised to see their new products. are you familiar with the brand LA ROCHE POSAY? the brand started in the same named french region and is now part of the huge L’Oréal. here you can see another overview picture with all the new things.

in 22 ROUGE COQUELICOT and 24 ROUGE PARFAIT. matching the lipsticks there is also a more orange red and a darker red. I have not tried them yet, and I am very much looking forward to doing so. I will keep you up to date via social media. stay tuned.

RESPECTISSIME INTENSE LINER is the newest eyeliner by LA ROCHE POSAY and it indeed is black that stays black after applying. I love a simple black eyeliner look and it works great with the red lipsticks. let me see whether I can find some time to take some photos of me wearing these gorgeous new pieces.

RESPECTISSIME OMBRE DOUCE in 01 SMOKY GRIS is a lovely palette with 3 colors. there is a nice nude concealing base color and two different shades of grey. all these eye products are greatfor sensitive skin and eyes and are also recommended while wearing contact lenses.

today I have something nice for our skin. I wanna talk about the LUBEX anti-age DAY RICH UV20 and NIGHT RICH. now that the hot days of summer are over it is time to change not only our wardrobe but also our skin care. we start using the heaters at home and inside the shops, public transport and I can already see how dry my skin is. so thats when I heard about the RICH line from LUBEX anti age. there is a light, classic and rich line and as you may know I already introduced some really nice products by them, have a look here >>

DRY SHAMPOO

dry shampoo had a real revival during the last couple of years, I remember when I was a teenager I only saw my grandma using these kind of products. but now the market is flooded with dry shampoos – for different hair colors and with different scents.

lets start with the BATISTE brand – they are very well known for their dry shampoos because thats what they do. I am super happy that one can now buy them in switzerland too. before I had to buy them in france. there are different scents, like TROPICAL or BLUSH but my true favorite is the one for dark hair. eventhough I have colored my hair lighter at the ends my roots are still dark and therefore I love using a dry shampoo that matches my hair color.

another nice dry shampoo is by REDKEN and it is called PILLOW PROOF. what a funny name. also this bugger works for me and I really like the scent of it. unfortunately the powder is light, so it takes me some time to blend it in. but after a couple of strokes with my brush it looks neat and fresh.

do you wonder how dry shampoos work and why I use them?

back in the days I was washing my hair almost every or every second day. about two or three years ago I started washing my hair only twice a week and I saw a huge difference in my hair. washing your hair too often is not good for your hair and if you have colored hair it will fade a lot faster. so of course you can not just switch from washing your hair every day to washing it only once or twice a week. these things take some time. your scalp needs time to adapt. during that process dry shampoo comes in handy as you can spray it to your roots when you would have actually needed to wash your hair. in my case my scalp started looking less greasy and now my hair is absolutely used to only being washed twice a week. the dry shampoo absorbs the grease from your scalp, mmhhm sounds lovely, but its effective and easy to do. spray it to your roots and use a brush to blend in the powder. its super easy, you will see.

wow thank you for letting me already see and test the new NARS steven klein holiday collection, wow, its awesome! I love blushes and went head over heels when I saw the cheek palette and the dual intensity blush. let me start with #1 the dual intensity blush in VENGEFUL, a shimmery golden champagne highlighter and a warm marsala tone. I m sure that both of them can also be used as eyeshadows, so in that case this tiny square makes a 3in1 (blush, highlighter, eye shadow) now lets move on to #2 the cheek palette in DESPAIR, here you get 4 blushes and a brush. two rather light and two more intense blushes. NICO / SAVAGE / ESOTERIC / FEROCIOUS these are the names of the blushes. #3 is a lip gloss but not just any kind of lip gloss. this bugger is pigmented and stays put with a nice shine. I am actually not a big lip gloss fan but I do like this one. the color is so so beautiful, its called SPECIAL FORCE and indeed with this color on my lips I feel like a special force agent, everything is possible! ; )

He was raised under the influence of his mother, Claudette Nars, and was exposed to fashion at an early age. It was thanks to her that he acquired his first job as an assistant to some of Paris’s top makeup artists. After graduating from Carita Makeup school in Paris, in 1984 Nars moved to New York. There, he was recognized for his love of colour and modern style. He also became part of a trio with photographer Steven Meisel and hair stylist Oribe Canales. In the eighties and nineties they produced many magazine editorials appearing in American Vogue, Vogue Italia and Elle. Very quickly, Nars’ popularity grew amongst fashion designers like Marc Jacobs for his ability to create looks that captured the story and feel of their designs. Celebrities like Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista also sought out for the artist. His philosophy towards makeup was to use makeup to explore the depths and nuances of individual character, and as a makeup artist, Nars was frustrated by how little product there was for makeup artists. In 1994, François Nars released his own brand of makeup- NARS. After shooting his first advertising campaign himself, Nars found a new creative medium. This lead him to shooting several editorials for major magazines as well as all the Nars’ ad campaigns today. Currently Nars has published four books of his photography. Today Nars remains as the artistic director, in-house photographer, and copywriter for his brand.
