a great variety of scents with something for everyone! my favorite one is the MOONLIGHT as it is the freshest of them all. I love candles that smell like fresh washed laundry. somehow it reminds me a bit of Midsummers Night, another favorite of mine from last years collection. my second favorite ones are PEONY and LEMONGRASS &GINGER. where PEONY is very very floral LEMONGRASS & GINGER is very herbal and gingery a mix of them would be interesting and I will give it a try to light both of them next to eachother. a small candle burns between 25 and 40 hours, thats actually not bad at all considered that its the smallest size. (medium size burns 56-90 hours / largest size burns 110-150 hours) I buy my YANKEE CANDLEs at Pfauen or Coop City as I can use my SUPERCARD points there but I also saw them at MANOR or online directly via their webshop >> I am curious to know which one is your favorite. X
candle tips:
trim the wick – it should always be around 3-5 mm long in order to prevent smoking.
let the wax pool, meaning each time you burn your candle allow the entire top layer to become a fragant pool of liquid wax, like this you get the boldest scent possible and will also help to prevent tunneling.

these are some of the new beauty products for men and I am very happy with the new DAVIDOFF fragrance, a spicy herbal fresh scent, nothing like Coolwater a lot more sophisticated I find. but as you may already know I find it very hard to describe scents for others and think its always best to see for oneself. hi all, today I want to present to you Cristians tiny art piece, part of a series, that is called idols. he started recently to work with clay, a material he did not use before. he somehow felt the need to create this type of prehistorical figures, in his perspective almost archetypes of human representation. he is interested in re-evaluating through the use of a very ancient material, contemporary ways of expressing very basic human feelings, questions and symbols.

two months ago I ordered a lot of awesome things via zalando lounge. have you ever heard about that service? you need a login for zalando lounge and once you have your login you can see all the special offers they have. its worth to check every day as there might be new specials and deals. the day I have checked there were awesome black wedge boots with black leather fringes. something that I was looking for for quiet some time and of course I had to have them. FEDERICA BASSI boots for 159.00 instead of 595.00 CHF – thats a bargain! another piece that I fell in love with was the black and white silk dress by BOLZONI&WALSH for 135.00 instead of 675.00 CHF – another bargain, and two pieces that go very well together.
8 pieces and I saved so much money, I dont know about you but I dont think I have ever made such a bargain before. I was very happy with my selected pieces and could not wait for the parcel to arrive. and now comes the downside: its not the regular zalando service where you have your order/parcel within the same week that you have ordered, no, its not. there is an overview of your oder on the website and it will tell you that it fist needs to wait to collect all the different goods from the different warehouses they have in different countries.. I ordered around mid November and it said that my parcel will arrive between 3.12. or 19.12. so I had to prepare myself for waiting and guess what I was lucky and it arrived before November, 29. and therefore I was able to wear my new black and white silk dress with the black fringe wedge boots for the SAMSON et DALILA opera concertant, YAY!

this year I am in Brasov for CHRISTMAS and I love exploring this beautiful city of Romania. there is a huge christmas tree in the center of the old city and fancy lights that are hanging above the streets. BRASOV is a very beautiful city with lots of amazing looking old houses. some of them need more care than the owners can spare but in general there is a movement in order to preserve the cultural heritage of Brasov. and now let me show you some photos. X
so let me tell you a bit more about what we have done so far. we have visited the new flat of C’s parents, strolled around the city, visited friends, decorated the christmas tree and took some photos for the blog. more to come, stay tuned. X
todays outfit inspiration is a rather casual one involving black, white, a destroyed pair of jeans and red. I got this sweater at the H&M BALMAIN SALE in Basel and I love it. It is a great key piece for my wardrobe as I can wear it with jeans for a more casual look or with pants or skirts for a more chic occasion.

so a month ago I signed up for ZALON and ordered a styling box. in case you dont know what zalon is, it is a styling service by zalando. I had to answer some questions and choose between different styles and colors that I usually wear. then I had to say for what occasion I was needing the clothes. I wanted shoes with fringe and I asked for a dinner outfit. you can book a slot for a phone call or order without. I went for the second and uploaded a photo of me and some nice shoes with fringe that I saw. after completing the questions you will get a list of stylists that would match with your style. KURE BAZAAR came out with some really nice colors two of them are called SAFRON and LIPSTICK. a warm yellow and a bright fresh red. I have already been using their nailpolishes and in case you dont know the brand you should quickly read this blogpost here >>

I love the two colors and they even work great together. I somehow thought I had a photo of my nails because I was wearing these colors for the HUGO BOSS BAUHAUS event in Basel but I can not find the photo.. so I will get back to you and show you the colors via my social media accounts. stay tuned.
