two months ago I ordered a lot of awesome things via zalando lounge. have you ever heard about that service? you need a login for zalando lounge and once you have your login you can see all the special offers they have. its worth to check every day as there might be new specials and deals. the day I have checked there were awesome black wedge boots with black leather fringes. something that I was looking for for quiet some time and of course I had to have them. FEDERICA BASSI boots for 159.00 instead of 595.00 CHF – thats a bargain! another piece that I fell in love with was the black and white silk dress by BOLZONI&WALSH for 135.00 instead of 675.00 CHF – another bargain, and two pieces that go very well together.

8 pieces and I saved so much money, I dont know about you but I dont think I have ever made such a bargain before. I was very happy with my selected pieces and could not wait for the parcel to arrive. and now comes the downside: its not the regular zalando service where you have your order/parcel within the same week that you have ordered, no, its not. there is an overview of your oder on the website and it will tell you that it fist needs to wait to collect all the different goods from the different warehouses they have in different countries.. I ordered around mid November and it said that my parcel will arrive between 3.12. or 19.12. so I had to prepare myself for waiting and guess what I was lucky and it arrived before November, 29. and therefore I was able to wear my new black and white silk dress with the black fringe wedge boots for the SAMSON et DALILA opera concertant, YAY!

shadow sheer blackening topcoat
skin light peach beige (cream)
quiet time being nude (cream)
rebel mid-tone cream plum (cream)

so what did I get to try and play around with? I got the shadow sheer blackening topcoat and this little bugger darkens almost every nailpolish color. I tried it with several colors and I think it needs at least two layers of nailpolish to really darken the tone. I think it is really nice to have a darker accent nail. so what did I do?I painted all my nails in one color and then I choose an accent nail, usually I always go for the ring finger and add three layers of the shadow sheer blackening topcoat – thats it!

I went to the maccosmetics booth inside Globus and was able to play a bit with the whole collection. One makes the nailpolish look pinker, one makes it look greener and one makes it look golden or blue. then there is one that makes the nailpolish look like leather. there are three colors that can be used as a base but let me tell you, they work with any kind of nailpolish as a base. 🙂 have a look at the collection << here >>

LONDON FASHION WEEK

so, it was time to check out London Fashion Week and I can tell u I had a lot of fun. I arrived in London on February 13, so I had one day to prepare myself for the next day, the start of the London Fashion Week. I stay in the beautiful Citizen M boutique hotel at Southbank. I will show you the hotel in a upcoming post. so, lets get back to fashion, the main fashionshows are hosted at SOMERSETHOUSE. Nearest tube station is temple. I arrived there and had to stay in line to pick up my presscard inorder to enter the shows, showrooms and medialounges. once I was registered I had to go and meet my friend Ania, who works at Paul Smith inside Royal Exchange. She took the photos above and we went for a quick coffee.

how I wear it these days..

well.. to be honest, this top looks best with nothing but a blazer on top
or solely by itself, but its winter and I live in swizerland so thats why I would wear it for an indoor occasion like a gallery opening or a dinner these cold days. the front part of the top is leather and the back is a sheer vicose fabric. also the back is longer than the front – perfect to wear with leggings. I profited from the huge zalando SALE for the zalando switzerland birthday and landed an amazing bargain! I can not wait to wear it in spring – combined with a 7/8 zipperjeans and sandals!

LEATHER SKIRTS

I love love love them and can not get enough of them 🙂 so do you have a leather skirt? How do you wear it? Are you afraid it will look cheap?

I chose a very simple way to wear leather skirts – a knitted black turtleneck top with black boots and a black bag. I think these are 3 basic pieces and I am sure its easy to find a black turtleneck and also black boots and bags. like this the leather skirt gets all the attention but still looks classy and not cheap! I guess thats one of the big fears that we have when we hear leather skirt! You can really wear it like that everyday and it wont look cheap!
