MERRY CHRISTMAS

merry christmas

this year I am in Brasov for CHRISTMAS and I love exploring this beautiful city of Romania. there is a huge christmas tree in the center of the old city and fancy lights that are hanging above the streets. BRASOV is a very beautiful city with lots of amazing looking old houses. some of them need more care than the owners can spare but in general there is a movement in order to preserve the cultural heritage of Brasov. and now let me show you some photos. SUMMER ESSENTIALS

image

these are my favorite products for summer and I quickly want to introduce each of them.

#1
KÉRASTASE
K CC Crème

I use this for my hair. Before after or during sunbathing or swimming. It helps to protect the hair from UV dammage.

#2
ULTRASUN
SPORTS transparent gel

I have only started using this sunscreen last week and I gotta admit its the best I have ever tried. It has no perfumes, no mineral oils, no emulsifiers, no preservatives and the best thing: water-resistant! I use it once a day in the morning and it lasts all day. Usually I wear SPF50 but now that I am a bit more tanned I think I am absolutely fine with SPF30.

#3
KIEHL’S
ULTRA LIGHT DAILY UV DEFENSE
SPF50 PA+++ UVA

this is my go to product for the face. I apply it every morning in summer before leaving the house. my skin is very sensitive and I have red parts on my cheeks thats why I need to protect my skin even more.

#4
LANCASTER
TAN MAXIMIZER
INSTANT COOLING MIST

this product is amazing. I apply it every evening after spending a day in the sun. Its such a nice feeling to spray this cooling mist and it helps your tan to last.

#5
GOLDWELL
DUALSENSES
SUN REFLECTS UV PROTECT SPRAY

I have only tried this for a couple of times and I like what it does. I spray it in the morning before tanning or being in the sun all over my hair. It has the perfect travelsize!

LACE IT UP

In the DIY post I have talked about the white lace dress and that I was changing the buttons and made the dress look very different. so this very dress was my outfit for the C&A night out at LE PERCHOIR and the dinner at the MAMA SHELTER. first I was wearing the dress with my flat animal print flats and then later on changed to my grey tamaris heels. what an awesome dress, I am looking forward to wearing it in many ways during spring/summer!

PARIS – JE T’AIME!

ouff.. I finally packed my bags for my mini trip to PARIS – starting today in the morning! I will travel with the TGV and since I live in Basel it only takes around 3 hours!

ELISABETH LECOURT galerie K+Y at SCOPE

packing my bags was a hassle – like always… I just find it very hard to know what I want to be wearing another day – fashion is something spontaneous for me and thats why I also tend to over pack.. this time I just took three different outfits and a couple of shoes for day and night. so I am very proud already about that 🙂 C&A invited me for a bloggers presstrip and I will keep you up to date about all the nice things I see. stay tuned via my SOCIAL MEDIA and maybe I will find time to upload an article via the blog under the EVENTS category. DIY MOMENT

so let me start with the amazing news first: I am going to Paris on Monday early in the morning and will stay until tuesday night. for that very occasion I was shopping for a nice dress. Indeed I found one and also bought it but I absolutely didnt like the buttons. I knew I had to change them and was not so sure what kind of buttons to get. I have a huge collections of single buttons that I collect from dresses and blouses but somehow I didnt want to put different buttons on that white lace blouse dress. and then I found the right pair. here you can see the new and the old buttons, what do you think? isnt it a super nice upgrade for the dress?

image

I will soon tell you more details about my trip to Paris and hope to share many nice photos with you. so I was thinking what to pack for a two day trip to Paris? I decided to travel with the black jumpsuit and my chunky sandals and to wear the white lace dress with the wooden sandals for the event. also I wanna bring my brown and my black sunglasses and also the beige DKNY bag will work for both outfits. thats what I think now but lets see how it will turn out in the end 🙂 packing is not my most favorite thing to do as I always have the tendency to bring too much. thats why I am very pround of my very basic packing approach!

image

I also have some amazing new red/brown pants that I could wear for the way back but I am not sure with what to wear them. lets see, more infos coming soon. X

MEMO Paris

Clara and John Molloy founded MEMO in 2007 after they met eachother on a chairlift in 2005. they have traveled together and experienced many nice things and that was the start of their collection – they discovered eleven scents and created these gorgeous fragrances for their collection. they both see a fragrance or scent as a magical journey and the flacon as the aim of that very trip.

LALIBELA – a mystical rose
the scent of yoyous fervor.

MANOA – city of gold and opoponax

manoa is the house of the sun, a living fruit that offers its opoponax nectar only to the most adventurous.

SHAMS OUD – an oud in the house of sun
The only guide in the house of the sun is the haunting music of oud, its main chords of Tonka bean, its dreams of wood and its promises of glorious love.

LUXOR OUD – oud from the pharaons
the marriage of wood and rose under pharaoh’s whip and sceptre.

QUARTIER LATIN – parisian papers
heart of paris that flutters in a latin fire.

IRISH LEATHER – wind of leather the leather gathers in the wind, the grass warms with the wood – Irish leather gallops off into the horizon.

ITALIAN LEATHER – dolce leather
it teams the simplicity of green tomato leaf with the sophisticated beauty of leather, myrrh and vanilla absolute – a lucid dream.

FRENCH LEATHER – a rose affair
being right, knowing the right moment to undress – musk – kissing.

I got the MEMO discovery voyage – FOUR – that contains 8 x 2ml samples and my favorite one is: FRENCH LEATHER! every sample comes with the list of ingredients and the description of the fragrant journey. read more about MEMO << here

thank you very much for inviting me to the event at parfumerie hyazinth and also for the lovely talk I had with Clara and John. <3

all of the eleven fragrances can be bought >> here

ÖGON DESIGN

something new! let me introduce you to my new travelling wallet!
ÖGON is a french brand and has started with the simple cardholder wallets. there are so many different colors, shapes and options. there are cardholder wallets, passport wallets and clutches.

http://www.creditcardhouder.nl/fotos2/middle140616153525.jpg

my favorite edition is the QUILTED one and I could not resist to get a pink QUILTED passport wallet. ÖGON uses aluminum for their cases and this also helps to protect my passport as nowadays passports have a lot of information that can be read without noticing it – so better be on the safe side and protect your passport.

ROMEO & GIULIETTA

ROMEO & GIULIETTA
at casa di Giulietta – Verona

the lovely perla moonlight colored alfa romeo giulietta was a pleasant ride for the trip to Verona, Vicenza and Venice. I felt like a princess!

www.alfaromeo.ch
GIULIETTA color moonlight perla

PS (hp) Number : 170
Displacement: 1956cm3
Weight: 1410 (includes one person 75kg)
Top speed: 220km / h
Acceleration 0-100 km / h ( s ) : 7.8s
CO2 emissions ( g / km ) : 116

the combination of 2.0 JTDM diesel 170PS is not available in the stick shifted /manual version. new , there is the 2.0 JTDM in the execution 175HP with TCT transmission (dual clutch transmission) or manual 2.0JTDM but with 150hp .

aww. I would absolutely do this again: driving to Verona, Vicenza and Venice with the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta – it was a blast! the great thing was that I went there with Cristian and as we were sharing the ride we always had to change the seat position and mirrors. but there are some tiny buttons on the left side of the drivers seat. there are 3 options for 3 different drivers. thats fantastic! Cristian is almost 2 meters tall and I am a lot shorter than that. 🙂 so we programmed our positions and every time we switched we chose our positions – that came in very very handy!

also the soundsystem by BOSE was awesome! the system allows to use USB sticks or SD cards and like this you can play all your music without bringing loads of CDS. the navigation system was also very helpful to find our way from Basel, Switzerland to Venice Italy and back.
