makeup in a stick1 SMASHBOX L.A. LIGHTS / beverly hills blush
2 NYX / wonder stick WS04

these sticks are perfect for on the go. the things that come in handy when travelling or putting together a touchup makeup bag for your purse. I love it when makeup becomes convenient and thats very much the case with these two buggers. the SMASHBOX L.A. LIGHTS blush stick is also for the lips, so its a 2in1 product, yay! the NYX wonder stick is great for contouring and highlighting. first I thought I could use the light color as a concealer but noo, I would not advise to do so, as it has a shimmery texture and finish to it. so as I said, both of these products are great for on the way as they will not leak nor break due to their smart packaging.

what I got in my makeUp bag:

eyelash curler
smashbox blush and cheek stick
NYX wonder stick
lip balm

whats in your makeUp bag? let me know. sharing is caring, right? X

ESPRIT shopping haul

esprit shopping haul

esprit shopping haul:
#1 hat
#2 pants

I found these two amazing pieces at the esprit shop in basel and luckily these pieces are also available online via the espritshop.ch. orange is a great elegant statement color and at the moment you can see this kind of hat in all the shops. I wanted to have a pompom that is made out of fakefur and was very surprised to see that this one is in fact fake fur, yay! it does look real, and thats the thing nowadays, you can not tell real from fake. for me these two things symbolice fall/winter. orange reminds me of halloween and pumpkin soup. the fake fur pompom makes me think about skiing in the mountains. the pattern of the 7/8 length pants is again really big this fall/winter. you can see lots of plaid skirts, coats, dresses and pants.

these are my favorite brushes and I almost use them on a daily basis. and now I wanna tell you why and for what I love them so much. #1 has the perfect shape for around the eyes and nose, I use it for powder, foundation or concealer. #2 this brush is an allrounder, I use it for highlighter, for blush, to blend contouring, for concealing and for foundation. #3 my go to sculpting brush, it has the perfect shape for my cheeks, jawline and forehead. #4 I use this bugger to smudge my eyeliner, to apply eyeshadow under the eyes and to conceal blemishes. #5 my number one blending brush, it works like magic, I use it for the crease and move with windshield wiping strokes to perfectly blend the shadows. #6 this one is perfect for loose or compact powder, I use it allover the face.

today I wanna introduce my new backpack / bag. jup you heard right, its a 2 in 1. I am talking about VICTORIA HARMONY from the new fall collection by VICTORINOX.

2 in 1 HARMONY
15.6” / 40cm (laptop)
pocket for tablet/ eReader
backpack and shoulderbag
meets most U.S. and International carry-on regulations

organizational panel with smartphone pocket, two pen loops large enough to hold writing utensils or a lipstick and a micro-suede zippered valuables pocket great for jewelry, but also perfectly sized for a pair of sunglasses.

padded, adjustable backpack straps hide behind rear pocket when carrying as a shoulder bag.

rear pocket converts to a sleeve to conveniently slide over the handle system of wheeled luggage.

adjustable leather straps allow bag to be carried over the shoulder.

I absolutely love my new companion and I finally know how it feels to carry all the wight on the back and have free hands, thats awesome. the black cherry color goes well with my wardrobe and what I also like is the very small logo. I dont like it when bags or accessories have huge logos. so this 2in1 is more than just a backpack and a bag its also an everyday bag or backpack.

“when my great-grandfather Karl Elsener opened a cutlery workshop to deliver a soldier knife to the swiss army in 1884, he had a revolutionary idea in mind. he was looking for a compact and sturdy knife, which offered many functions combined in a single tool. What he invented has long become a legend: the Original Swiss Army Knife. over the years, both customer needs and technology have changed. The Swiss Army Knife has evolved by responding to these needs, while remaining an essential tool our clients can rely on.
that’s our story. but it’s not what turned the Victorinox Knife into an icon. It’s about the stories our customers experienced in which our products played a vital role: stories about memorable moments of adventure and expeditions on earth, in the sky, and in space. dramatic stories in which our products contributed to solutions and saved lives. Even stories of prominent encounters where our knives opened doors, helping to create ties between politicians, opinion leaders and nations. we invite you to discover the world of Victorinox and are proud to be a companion for your life. In addition to pocket, household and professional knives, today the independent family company Victorinox also produces and sells timepieces, travel gear, fashion and fragrances all over the world. each product is an expression of Swiss quality and Swiss pioneering spirit. thank you for your interest and trust in Victorinox.

oooh and last but not least the perfume packaging of Victorinox eLLa won the Audience Award 2015 and reaches a top 3 placement in the category Design. Congratulations! X

crop top look

I think this is my first crop top outfit on the blog EVER and I am wearing it at the very last moment of the season before its getting too cold and the freezing winter season starts. I got this lovely black crop top from the wonderful Halle and she gave it to me in order to wear it with my lovely Ioana Ciolacu dress that I was wearing for the VOLTA11 event. see more here >>

blazer H&M
earrings THOMAS SABO

crop top look

this is a very casual way of wearing a crop top as I am not wearing any heavy jewelry nor other accessories other than my small black earrings. in my opinion black and pink go well but its a thin line, sometimes it can look really really cheap, I hope you agree that this look doesn’t.

how to wear crop tops?

I love to wear crop tops with high waisted pencil skirts. crop tops can be either loose or fitted. in case you are not a skirt person and you have a very nice belly to show the world, but really only then, you can wear a crop top with a nice pair of boyfriend jeans. I have an oversized loose cashmere crop top that I was wearing with destroyed boyfriend jeans before but since the top is rather oversized you can not really see my belly : ) so as I said I prefer to only show a tiny line between top and bottom, I find somehow the crop top outfits look a bit more elegant and less revealing like that. I am not a teenager anymore ; ) and I also dont have Miley Cyrus as my role model, chchchchchch.

here you can see the oversized cashmere top with a black pencil skirt  >>
and here with a different black skirt >> and soon I will show you my boyfriend jeans + crop top outfit. stay tuned. X

he is perhaps most well known for his shadow text work in copper and aluminum. these quiet and poetic installations combine a viruosic use of materials with simplicity that both subverts and elevates language. beyond just the simple metal phrases and sentences, Eerdekends has worked with such diverse mundane materials as discarded clothing and artificial trees, transformed by the simple application of light. by utilizing the physical nature of his medium, he creates art that blurs the line between reality and perception. his installations have been shown extensively at museums and galleries worldwide, and is featured in major collections such as MUHKA Antwerp / SMAK Brussels / Museo d’Arte Moderno Bolzano and FRAC Languedoc-Rousillon, among others. as well, he has completed a number of large, site specific installations, for important public and private spaces.

these are my favorite products for summer and I quickly want to introduce each of them.

K CC Crème

I use this for my hair. Before after or during sunbathing or swimming. It helps to protect the hair from UV dammage.

SPORTS transparent gel

I have only started using this sunscreen last week and I gotta admit its the best I have ever tried. It has no perfumes, no mineral oils, no emulsifiers, no preservatives and the best thing: water-resistant! I use it once a day in the morning and it lasts all day. Usually I wear SPF50 but now that I am a bit more tanned I think I am absolutely fine with SPF30.

this is my go to product for the face. I apply it every morning in summer before leaving the house. my skin is very sensitive and I have red parts on my cheeks thats why I need to protect my skin even more.

this product is amazing. I apply it every evening after spending a day in the sun. Its such a nice feeling to spray this cooling mist and it helps your tan to last.

I have only tried this for a couple of times and I like what it does. I spray it in the morning before tanning or being in the sun all over my hair. It has the perfect travelsize!

aww, thats such a nice table – maybe a bit over my budget 😉 but who cares anyway – I am talking about the UN tables made out of old doors. in case you wanna read more about them click here <<

I have put all my favorite products in collages!

something nice by LUBEX ANTI AGE

I discovered another awesome product by LUBEX anti age – a swiss pharmaceutical company based in Therwil, a couple of kilometers from Basel – and my newest discovery is called LUBEX anti-age serum multi intensive!

so I was using the serum for the last couple of weeks and I was applying it day and night before moisturizing. during the night I was using my hydration oil afterwards and the two things together really glutted my very dry and irritated skin! it has a wonderfully smooth and light consistency with a very nice subtle scent. I really love the packaging – it is very neat and handy and it prevents the product from being attacked by sunlight. as LUBEX anti age has removed all the preservatives it is very important to protect the very fragile ingredients.

my lubex anti age serum fell into the bath tub and I thought it actually looks quiet nice in the foam so I took my camera and captured it.

so what does Lubex anti-age® serum do for a visibly more beautiful skin?
it provides a unified complexion due to the vitamin C glucoside and it retains a youthful appearance due to resveratrol. by using the serum on a daily base the help of ectoin also increases the resistance of the skin against environmental stress factors and it corrects fine lines and expression lines with use of poly-, penta- and hexapeptides. and most importantly hyaluronic acid which hydrates intensively and makes the skin super soft.

unfortunately so many people have allergies and deal with very sensitive skin, I can include myself to the second group and therefore I always pay extra attention to the ingredients! lubex anti age products are especially made for people with sensitive skin or people that have allergies to certain ingredients and every single product has been developed and tested by professional dermatologists!

I was naming quiet some ingredients before and I quickly want to give you a heads up about what these things are. so lets start:

vitamin-C-glucosides also called provitamin C. vitamin-C-glucosides has an antioxidant against free radicals, reduces pigmentation marks and repaires the stressed skin by UV rays. so vitamin-C-glucosides are very active against skin aging and therfore used by LUBEX anti age serum!

resveratrol is a sirtuin (SIRT 1) activator that protects the DNA and increases the longevity of the skin cells. the innovative liposomal microencapsulation of bioactive agent works specifically in the cells of the epidermis to improve the vitality of the skin and to slow the aging process!

ectoine acts as a natural DNA and cell protective factor against UV-induced skin damage and it supports the immune system of the skin! furthermore it prepares the skin for an efficient response to stress. ectoine was identified as the one substance that protected the organisms in the desert from intense sunlight, high temperature and drought. it is used as an active ingredient in skin care and sun protection, it stabilizes the natural structure of biopolymers such as proteins, nucleic acids and biomembranes. ectoine has been shown to protect against skin damage caused by UVA and UVB radiation and the most special feature: ectoine does not act as UV filters, but rather as a preventative cell protection against sun allergies, UV-induced skin aging and light dermatoses. it prevents damage in the epidermis and in the deeper layers of the skin and protects the skin’s immune system!

poly-, penta- and hexapeptides or peptides are very important messengers to block the skin and they play a huge role in wound healing. even the normal daily skin regeneration process has to deal with small tissue damage that must be repaired and balanced. over time this ability declines more and more and the aging process of the skin begins. poly-, penta- and hexapeptides specifically activate biological restructuring processes in the skin and therefore age-related skin damage is being repaired – the skin becomes more resilient and toned.

hyaluronate or hyaluronic acid intensively hydrates the epidermis and protects the skin from drying out. in addition, they act like retinol (vitamin A) and pepdtide:  that means they improve the structure and density of the skin and make it more elastic.

so I hope you found that helpful and interesting and that you can now find the perfect product for your skin – there are so many other products by LUBEX anti age that I wanna try and I am curious to test the cleansing milk and the tonic – stay tuned for more.

todays outfit

this is my tiny hope that spring will arrive early this year 🙂 and therefore I have put together this pastel – floral outfit. I have showed you my zalando spring haul a couple of days ago and today I am finally wearing my new grey pumps by tamaris. they are extremly comfy – the first time that I wear tamaris shoes and I am quiet impressed! due to the platform the actual heel is not so tall and one can really feel that when walking and standing for longer periods.

MAKE UP SESSION ONE with lovely Diana

last weekend I had the pleasure to use some of my new makeup products on Diana. we ended up using the new SISLEY phyto 4 ombres and we both really like the colors and luckily we also both like the result.

so what was I doing? I was using the lighter grey color all over the lid (but not all the way up to the brow) then I used the darker grey and i drew a V shape on the outer corner of the eye. because I have already done Dianas foundation and concealing I wanted to be prepared for any fall out from the eyeshadow and thats why I used lots of loose transparent powder under her eyes – in case of fall out you just brush the powder away with a fan brush and there will be no smudges or darker spots below the eyes. so we have the light grey almost all over the lid and the V in the outer corner in the darker grey – the next step is blending the V with a nice fluffy crease brush. I took the blue color and blended it all over the lid. as a last step I used the light grey color and smudged it very lightly along the water line. VOILA that is the complete eye look with the new SISLEY phyto 4 ombres in 2 mystery!

this is the complete look and in case you wanna find the exact same products you can click >> here and have a look at my POLYVORE page, all the products are listed. enjoy. X

I went shopping at LUSH and here is what I came home with! I am a HUGE lush fan and always end up buying too many nice things! the solid shampoos are such an amazing product and perfect for travelling. another huge favorite of mine are rose scented products like the awesome limited edition shower gel (I really hope they will continue this line!) and the body conditioner – together they are a dream team and a wise person once said: “NEVER CHANGE A WINNING TEAM.”

#1 ROSE JAM shower gel
#2 RO’S ARGAN body conditioner
#3 SUGAR SCRUB body scrub
#4 SQUEAKY GREEN shampoo
#5 GODIVA shampoo
#6 SEANIK shampoo

today I wanna show you something nice of course like every day 🙂 so let’s talk about the it-color PINK! lately I have seen so many pink things from makeup to accessories. I also found this pink wool cardigan on SALE and it goes perfectly with my pink lips and nails.

cremesheen LUST EXTRACT

this year’s trend or it-color will be pink 🙂 I think it is a bit silly to name a year color. for me one color would not be enough as I love to wear bright clothes. last year’s color was RADIANT ORCHID – so in fact I am actually wearing last year’s color on my nails 🙂

now I wanna continue with the question and answers

#what’s your everyday fragrance?
mmmhhmm I gotta name more than one as it’s impossible for me to only have one. I often use the CHLOÉ original or the MODERN MUSE by Estée Lauder. I also got the CHLOÉ love story and the MODERN MUSE CHIC by Esteé Lauder but I don’t wear them so often – I rather use them for special occasions.

#what’s your favorite nailpolish color?
RED RED RED <3 I love red nails!

#which skin care products are in TOP 3?
KIEHL’S midnight recovery concentrate
SISLEY pore minimizer

#which beauty products are in TOP 3?
maccosmetics LADYBUG> lipstick
ESTÈE LAUDER double wear foundation
CLINIQUE sun-kissed bronzing powder

more questions to answer an other day, right? I hope you all have a nice day – HAPPY WEDNESDAY! xx
