Men Outfit inspiration

MEN – outfit inspiration

Men Outfit inspiration

1 SHIRT C&A (clockhouse)
2 SHOES CLARKS
3 BLUE JEANS
4 NAVY COAT

men - outfit inspiration

1 SHIRT MANGO MAN
2 SNEAKERS NIKE ROSHE
3 PANTS RIVER ISLAND
4 COAT LACOSTE

I found some nice pieces via polyvore and wanted to share them with you. some really nice cotton/linen shirts from MANGO MAN, really nice navy pants from RIVER ISLAND, casual NIKE sneakers and a very fancy green coat from LACOSTE. click on the titles to see more.

the great thing with these pieces is that you can wear them all together BUT also pair them with your (basic) wardrobe pieces. in my opinion every guy should have a navy pair of pants. such a great basic piece that can be worn with a white t-shirt for a rather casual look or with a dress shirt for a more elegant look. same goes with the white shirt, it can be worn with jeans for an everyday look or with some nice cotton pants for a more a more elegant look. the lacoste coat can be worn on top of a jeans/t-shirt look but also with a business outfit. and last but not least one can never have enough sneakers : ) so add some color to your outfits and wear green!

NEW NAIL POLISHES

new nail polishes

ALESSANDRO INTERNATIONAL
NAIL POLISHES:

1 GLAM ROCK purple passion
2 prêt – à – porter SILK GREY SILK
3 MINA’S MARSALA

these are the new colors by ALESSANDRO INTERNATIONAL and I am sure that there is something for everyone. GLAM ROCK is one of the collection, there I really like the color: PURPLE PASSION, its a shimmery purple and perfect for the fall/winter season. these nail polishes will be available from mid of november 2015. there will be 6 different colors, and also for STRIPLAC lovers there will be something by GLAM ROCK, 4 shades (purple passion, turquoise rocks, rock star and violet nights). TURQUOISE ROCKS is a super elegant shimmery greenwith a silky finish, I love it and its perfect for the holiday season. prêt – à – porter is the name of the fall/winter 2015 look and there are 6 different shades, my two favorite ones are called: SATIN SENSATION and SILK GREY SILK, also in this collection they made similar colors for the STRIPLAC lovers, me included, there are 4 shades (grey silk, prêt – à – porter, satin sensation and silk champagne). I LOOOVE the prêt – à – porter shade for STRIPLAC, I am wearing it since 3 days and as always it still looks super nice and shiny. and now lets talk about the IT COLOR by PANTONE 2015, its called MARSALA and the new shade is MINA’S MARSALA, a nice warm copper and also in that very case there is the same color for STRIPLAC available. the name MARSALA comes from the italian liquor wine.

in case you have not tried STRIPLAC yet but you are curious about it, well, there is a TRY ME KIT, have a look here >> I am a huge fan of STRIPLAC and can only recommend it to you. X

I AM PROFESSIONAL

last week I was in Zuerich for the MIGROS I am PROFESSIONAL blogger event and I had a great time. Now I can show you some *photos of the event and wanna share some thoughts about the I am PROFESSIONAL blogger event and my favorite product with you.

I am professional

BLOGGER EVENTS – some tips from my side!

In general I wanna say something, thank you very much for inviting me to all these awesome events BUT not all swiss bloggers are living in ZUERICH, where almost all of the events are taking place. so in case you invite a blogger to your event, make sure that you cover their train tickets. why should a blogger attend your event paying for it by himself and then in the end write about the event and product for a goodie bag or for the products itself? for a person without 1/2 tax a train ride from BS to ZH including the local tram tickets is around 80 CHF.

A HUGE NOOOOOOOO !!

these expenses should be calculated in the budget and it should be normal for the PR companies to inform the bloggers about that. since one year I am only attending events in ZH when the organizer covers my travel expenses. If not I am not coming to ZH as simple as that.

again I am very grateful and happy to be invited so don’t get me wrong. its just after a year of attending events in ZH for my blog I ended up spending 1500 CHF only on tickets and that was a year when I was not attending so many events, I think there were about 18 events or so. but still I ended up paying for my blogposts – do you know what I mean?

another thing that I have noticed at the last couple of events. bloggers dont want the food that you would serve at a farmers union, so please check if there are enough vegetarian or even vegan alternatives. the biggest NOOOOOOO of the I am PROFESSIONAL event was the food. IT WAS REALLY REALLY BAD, as the first 4 rounds of food where chicken, ham, cheese, and meatballs. SERIOUSLY ??? ever heard of vegetarian or vegan lifestyle? I could go bananas on this topic as I feel like a lot of people that organize those events have no idea for whom they are preparing the event. so PLEASE make sure to have meals without cheese and without meat. the sad thing about the I am PROFESSIONAL event was that there was sooo much meat left that nobody wanted, a real pitty if you think that animals had to die for that.. so in that case less is really more : )

I will start to write a blogger manual as I have so many things to complain about. something very uncommon here on isawsomethingnice where I try to only focus on positive things. but I am sure there are many bloggers out there that share the same thoughts.

STYLING

alright, enough said about the food and ticket situation. now lets move on the the styling part that was really cool. I happened to have a very nice stylist and she created some natural looking curls and braided the front to the back. thank you very much, it was really nice to be pampered.

I am professional

and here finally some vegetarian food arrived, delicious falafel balls but unfortunately they only made like a handful of them and sadly they were gone within seconds. the other alternative they pulled out was a vegetarian quiche, mmhhmm it was delightful but again same issue here, the amount of vegetarian food was just not enough!!

I am professional

and here you can see the final result of my hair styling by I am PROFESSIONAL. my favorite product is the SMOOTH AND GLOSSY hairspray that really helped to hold my curls. unfortunately there was a massive pour down on the way to the train station and I lost half of the volume of my curls but still it looked nice. check the photos on twitter to see more >>

HOW IS IT DONE
“printing, then copying and scanning digital images until a point where I felt that they possesed a certain graphic look, I wanted. the end result is then scanned at a very high resolution, printed by laser printing in an A3 size, the largest format available at the time , and later transferred to the lithographic stone by rubbing it with acetone. the back of the paper is slightly moistened with acetone, which releases the tones to get stuck on the stone, and finally it is possible to print it in the classic lithographic manner.”

WALLFORMATION GELBMODELLIERUNG 1980/81

FRANZ ERHARD WALTHER
WALLFORMATION GELBMODELLIERUNG 1980/81

franz erhard walther

Franz Erhard Walther is widely recognized as an originator of participatory art. Since the 1960s, he has conceived of his canvas sculptures as “instruments”, and has placed the viewer in a critical role: only when the objecs are used, in ways appointed by the artist, are they completed. Unlikely many other artists following his lead in creating sculptures for the viewers to handle and animate, Walther is not motivated by spectacle, humor, or the nature of performance, but rather the meditative and contemplative possibilities of the experience.

Wallformation Gelbmodellierung will be exhibited together with historical photos of the complete sequence of the action. The work has not been on view since 1989.

The largest of Walthers series of Wallformations, it is all at once an image. a sculpture, an action, and an architectural space. While the physical articulation of the piece has been documented, the viewers own conception of how it might have been realized is also very much a part of it. As Walther likes to say, “Pictures are in your head”. The work-activation can be imagined, or in the physical activation real time is articulated and made into a concrete material.

MY FASHION INTERPRETATION

this piece screams: I AM CAUGHT IN YELLOW.  I wanted to wear something according to the feeling I got from looking at this art piece inside ART UNLIMITED. it feels like a uni colored outfit on a person that only moves on a yellow line.
