I LOVE IT

LADIES & GENTLEMEN.. I have a wonderful change to announce – I fell in love with the M.A.C Face & Body Foundation and use it instead of the M.A.C. Mineralize Foundation.

The best thing about the F&B Foundation is the finish, it has such a nice light texture. Once applied it looks very natural and can be build up by adding more layers for more coverage.

I use my fingers or a sponge to apply instead of my M.A.C. 187 brush and think it gave me way better results. The F&B Foundation really starts to become like a moisturizer when applied to face – perfect for my wintery dry skin!

Which foundation are you using and why do you love it? And let me know which brush you use to apply foundation or if you also use your fingers for certain products. Please leave a comment – sharing is caring xx

M.A.C blogger event

OOH DEARS – last night I had so much fun at the M.A.C. bloggers event at HILTL in Zurich.

I met wonderful swiss bloggers and memorized some very useful makeUp tricks. The focus of the workshop was lashes – yeah, lashes became really big these days – especially the fakelashes. I noticed that I have seen way more women wearing fakelashes on a daily base than I did in earlier times. So there is a trend for big expressive lashes. People who know me they know that I very rarley use mascara myself 🙂 but for special occasion I love to wear a dramatic eyemakeup but for my everyday look I will always go with a bright lip instead of a dramatic eyelook.

I was sitting next to FABIENNE from swissmakeupblog.chand across from MIA miaslittlecorner.blogspot.ch and LARISSA from www.laruemarie.com and there was MELANIE a M.A.C. makeUp artist which helped me a lot. thanks girls! It was a blast!

On the way back to Basel I was traveling with lovely MIA and I asked her this question: “If you can only take one makeUp product with you – what would you pick?” She thought about it for a moment and answered “concealer” – without concealer I look tired. I think its so interesting to get to know other girls opinion about their faces and makeUp looks. If I had to answer the question I asked her I would of course pick a bright lipstick because I look very boring with no color in my face 🙂

thank you M.A.C. for the lovely presents – I will soon show you what I got and will also share some amazing news regarding M.A.C. – all I can say for now is RIRI <3

I took a lot of notes from the helpful tricks all the bloggers shared and I will soon post a M.A.C. bloggers events tricks special and share all my notes with y’all. stay tuned! xx

S H O P P I N G

S H O P P I N G
at stücki basel, switzerland at Douglas and L’Occitane

“my newest skin and body product”

I was at Douglas to buy new foundation. my M.A.C. mineralize foundation is empty and I wanted to try something new. It’s not that I don’t like the mineralize foundation – I might even repurchase it in addition to what I bought today at Douglas. Anyway – there is a very nice girl working at Douglas Stücki – she did such a great job finding the right foundation and shade for my skin. thanks again  <3 (I hope you read this) she did my makeup and used the LANCOME teint Miracle foundation – it has a soft finish and gives me enough coverage for my red skin parts on my cheeks. And also the smell of the product is very very nice. It has a very light scented note almost like a fresh parfume and has SPF 15.

That very day I got many compliments about my makeup so I left it on for the photoshoot in the afternoon >> photos will follow soon >> and there is a sneakpeek on my INSTAGRAM

I am a big fan of L’OCCITANE – their products have a fair trade background and they support amazing sustainable projects. I already introduced the soap for the womensday they had this february.

So I could not resist to buy the ULTRA RICH BODY SCRUB to exfoliate my skin. I wish I could show you the smell – its so goooood! I also needed a handcreme and was amazed by this very light gel-textured LAVENDE CREME MAINS. I am not a fan of greasy creamy handcremes for on the go.. for a treatment during the night I would of course recommend a richer creamier hand creme.

so that was my morning at Stücki Shopping Center Basel. I hope u enjoyed my little shopping haul. let me know what kind of foundation handcremes and body scrubs you are a fan of. hashtag #isawsomethingnice or leave me a comment below. xx

R O B E R T & J O S I A N E s k i n c a r e

I was at the changemakershop in Basel, Switzerland  and discovered this amazing skincare brand called ROBERT AND JOSIANE. I liked their products so much that I wanted to feature them on my blog and therefore I asked them 4 questions about themselves and their brand.

Thank you so much for your time Robert and Josiane!

Interview
1. How did Robert & Josiane start their business – whats the background?
We’re a couple that realised in the late nineties, that we wanted to extend our romantic relationship into our daily work. After a few years of looking for the right field we came upon cosmetics. With
Robert as a biologist with his love for nature and his talent to experiment with ingredients, and Josiane as a former teacher with her passion for scents and poetry, we were the perfect match also for our new project. The result is an outstanding line of natural cosmetic products, a source of wellbeing and full of poetry.

2. How do you come up with such great names and packaging?

Each product is inspired by personal experiences and moments of our lives. Our Body Lotion “Die Gärten von Alfabia” (The Gardens of Alfabia) for instance is a remembrance of a stroll in the peaceful gardens of Alfabia on the island of Mallorca. And with “Die Wilde” (Soap Bar) we tried to catch the feeling of standing at the West Coast of British Columbia, where Robert lived during the first years of his childhood.

3. Where do you sell your products?

They can of course be purchased at our Webshop. But also in pharmacies, organic shops and concept stores.

4. What is the newest product or is there something new in the pipeline that you could share?

Our latest product is our facial cream “Tagundnachtgleiche” (“Equinox”), with the wonderful oil from raspberry seeds. The next product to appear will be our winter product “Wunder-bar”, which is a body butter scented with spanish cistus and moroccan cedar. Just perfect for cuddling and for dry skin. As a seasonal product it’s available in winter only.

BB

Hmm, I must say I really love the Clarins BB Skin Perfekting Cream!
I have been using it for the last couple days and I really start to like it better everyday!

For me its really one easy step for natural-looking flawless coverage. The Clarins Skin Perfecting BB Cream is super easy to apply I achieved the best result with my fingers but maybe I just havent found the right brush for this cream. So anyway the texture is really smooth and leaves a very nice soft film on your skin. The BB Skin Perfecting Cream by Clarins is a real time-saver in the morning because it not only evens out your skintone it also protects your skin with the carefully selected plant-based ingredients with SPF 25.

so, what does BB stand for?

BB stands for “blemish and balm” and was first developed by German dermatlogists for women who had undergone cosmetic surgery and it was later further developed in Korea. It was recommended to soothe the skin and reduce the appereance of redness as a result of cosmetic surgery. It quickly became “THE” beauty secret behind flawless-looking skin in Asia. BB Cream is now found in a “western” version, part make-up and part skin care.

Have you tried a BB Cream before, please let me know which one and why you like it. please leave a comment or ASK or say something on my FB page – cant wait to hear what you have to say about BB Creams! xxx

DO SOMETHING GOOD

DO SOMETHING GOOD FOR YOU – with L’OCCITANE

I was recently in the L’Occitane Shop in Basel at Freiestrasse. Very nice and helpful shopassistant.

I tried the CREME ULTRA RICHE with 25% SHEA BUTTER – a very nourishing and hydrating treatment for your whole body with a fresh and delightful scent. I am thinking about buying the big jar for 47.- CHF – because I really liked what it did to my skin.

I also tried the CONCENTRE DE LAIT AMAND – a smooth and rich cream for the whole body. The smell is quiet intense and a little bit to sweet for me. The big jar costs 56.- CHF and I dont think I will buy it.

Visit the SHOP at FREIESTRASSE 93 in
BASEL – and leave me a comment below with your favourite products by L’OCCITANE. xxx
